Tomkinson 11. 230 copies printed. Ambrose Heal (1872-1959), furniture designer and retailer, studied at the Slade School of Art, and joined the family firm Heal & Son in 1893. He was a founding member of the Design and Industries Association, inaugurated in 1914-15, which promoted the values of the Arts and Crafts movement in industrial production. (1) £400-600
