A rare WWII Luftwaffe EL Receiver by Lorenz c.1939-45, the long wave receiver box stamped EL with various control buttons and plug in points, 18cm high x 21.5cm wide x 21cm deep, showing signs of probable battle damage Sold with a note from the vendor detailing provenance. Purchased by the vendors father at a livestock market in the 1940s. The seller was raising money for injured service men and claimed it had been recovered from a downed aircraft, there is a hole on the front which could well be a bullet hole? These receivers were used extensively by the Luftwaffe during WWII notably on long distance bombers such as the Ju88 and HeIII (1) £400 - £600
