The National Day of Prayer The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, Owensboro National Day of prayer, Freedom Teen Rally, 24 hour Prayer Cover, Prayer Breakfast and Noon Prayer/ Worship Service. Also including the Circle of Good News is where over 365 people quietly reading aloud their scripture, so that the entire Bible is read in 20 minutes around the sidewalks of the Owensboro courthouse on Third Street.
