FARMERS UNION CAMP!

Thirty items may be checked out at once.

How long are the checkout periods?

The checkout period of most library materials is 7, 14, or 21 days.

How do I get a library card?

Library cards are free and may be used at either library. Bring a driver’s license, ND photo ID, UJ student ID, or a utility bill showing your name and address.

What unusual items may be checked out?

Video games, state park passes, and a large variety of unique items in our Library of Things.

▶ Do you offer swimming lessons? Yes, Two Rivers Activity Center offers swim lessons throughout the year. More information and dates are listed on the TRAC website, tracjamestown.com.

▶ What is the Community Bike Fleet? The bike fleet includes 30 adjustable hybrid unisex bicycles in both adult and youth sizes. Community members can check out bicycles at no charge. Reservations can be placed for individual bikes or for the entire fleet at TRAC.

▶ Are there hiking trails in Jamestown? Do you have maps? Yes! We have a lot of hiking and biking trails in and around Jamestown. There are maps available at the Parks Office, Two Rivers Activity Center and on the JPRD website.

TIPS FOR WATER CONSERVATION AND COST SAVINGS.

• Small drips or leaks can add up to hundreds or thousands of gallons of water wasted. A faucet that leaks 120 drips per minute wastes 11 gallons of water per day. A constantly running toilet could waste 200 gallons of water per day.

• Fixing household water leaks, like dripping faucets, toilet flappers, and showerheads can save homeowners 10 percent on their water bill.

EMERGENCY STORM PLOWING:

Snow Emergency Routes are plowed first to ensure emergency vehicles and essential services can run.

After a snowstorm, plowing takes place in this order: 1st Quadrant Emergency routes – NE, NW, SE, SW 2nd Downtown Business District and other major routes as needed

Self-haul hours: Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (no inert dumping after 3:00 pm) Saturday from 8:00 am to 11:30 pm (no inert dumping after 11:00 am)

Collection of garbage residential cul-de-sacs, walk-up service patrons, and commercial rebels will be on Wednesdays. All other routes will follow their scheduled days.

COLLECTION GUIDELINES:

• Remove recyclables from city garbage cart

• No grass or yard waste

• Only bagged household garbage is allowed. Please ensure the cart lid is closed

• Refer to calendar - Ready for collection by 7:00 am

• 4 feet from obstacles/parked vehicles

• Within 3 feet of berm or alley edge

• Bag your animal waste

• Cool your fireplace ashes, seal in a bag

• No dirt, rocks, construction materials

• Clear snow & keep container upright/level

Property owners are responsible for maintaining trees planted on the boulevard. This includes pruning branches over the street, alley, and sidewalks. The branch height over residential streets is 13 feet and 16 feet in commercial areas.Tree branches height over sidewalks should be maintained at 8 feet.
