Karan A Chanana is currently the Chairman and CEO of Amira Nature Foods Ltd. He took command of his family-run, century-old Basmati Rice business in 2012 and boasts of several achievements till date. A Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University, Chanana is also the chairman of the Food Processing Value Addition Council and a board member of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development. He is just 48 but possesses exceptional entrepreneurial abilities that have been instrumental in making Amira the company and the brand it is today.

The company went public under the name ANFI on the NYSE in October 2012. Under the capable leadership of Karan A Chanana, the company went on to acquire Basmati Rice GmBH- a Germany-based basmati rice distributor, in December 2013.
