Parkway (formerly known as Edgemere Avenue) closed starting mid-July 2023 through beginning of 2025 NYCDOT, NYCHPD and
Applicant have been in communication with Community Board 14, elected officials, local organizations, PS 106Q and emergency services (FDNY, NYPD) prior to the closure
Need for the Project Closure needed to implement
roadway widening and raising – Green infrastructure to increase resiliency and combat storm and nuisance flooding – Critical utility infrastructure upgrades – Elevate roadway from ~2 feet to 6 feet – Widen roadway to increase capacity
