Arrange a call with the candidate – If the candidate doesn’t answer first time, leave a message or email, and arrange a suitable time for them.

When you call, introduce yourself and remind them of the role they have applied for.

Discuss the details of the role with the candidate, the duties involved, size of the team and the hours, pay and location.

Let them know about the benefits, loyalty award, discount, apprenticeships, and development.

Ask them about their current situation, the reason they applied for the role and what is it they’re looking for.

If the call goes well, arrange a date and date for them to attend a face-toface interview at the store.

Once an interview has been arranged, follow it up with an email confirmation containing the date, time, and location of the interview.

If you do not wish to offer your candidate a face-to-face interview, thank them for their time and let them know that you will be in touch.
