English (American) Level 2 Unit 1 : Travel 

Lesson 1 Follows the theme of getting around town by introducing several types of buildings and stores, and then teaches the user how to ask for directions and understand how to follow them in their new language.



Lesson 2 Here the learner discovers words and phrases helpful for using public transportation including directional language, the words for vehicles, the verbs used with the modes of transportation and the various kinds of transportation stations.



Lesson 3 Helps the user understand and talk about travel itineraries by teaching more specific time words, more modes of transportation, numbers from 70 to 99 and much more language that us useful in the airport or train station.



Lesson 4 Introduces travel destinations and weather language including discussing the temperature and kinds of precipitation and showing the user how to talk about the weather in the future.

English (American) Level 2 Unit 2:Past and Future 

Lesson 1 Introduces the past tense, indirect objects and vocabulary about correspondence. Practices the future tense.



Lesson 2 Continues to teach the past and the use of indirect objects while showing the user how to ask for clarification when they don't understand something. Also teaches some school subjects.



Lesson 3 Introduces and practices the imperfect tense with a variety of verbs. Expands the school theme by teaching different levels of school and students along with some new jobs and workplaces



Lesson 4 Continues to teach the past tense and the imperfect by contrasting them. Teaches polite ways to make requests.

English (American) Level 2 Unit 3 : Friends and social life 

Lesson 1 Builds a base for the social life theme by teaching leisure-time activities and party planning language. Includes many new verbs, the formal imperative and all of the months of the year.



Lesson 2 Continues the planning theme with more language about planning an event, methods of communicating and how to write and say dates. Also practices the formal imperative, introduces the informal imperative and teaches 100 and 1,000.



Lesson 3 Here the user learns words for different types of parties, more words for food, more forms of possession and phone etiquette. Also introduces the words here, there, this, that, these and those.



Lesson 4 Concludes the theme of the unit with more party language, more words to make comparisons and how to accept and decline an invitation

English (American) Level 2 Unit 4 :Dining and Vacation 

Lesson 1 Introduces a new form of the future and a large number and variety of food and restaurant language.



Lesson 2 Expands the vacation theme by teaching the words for a variety of landmarks, architectural features, musical instruments and art media



Lesson 3 Follows the landmark theme by teaching the words for religious buildings. Adds emotions, sight-seeing verbs and sequencing words.



Lesson 4 Teaches common activities to do while on vacation and adds more places to go, things to see on vacation, vacation-themed clothing and weather words as well.



El curso Rosetta Stone nivel 2, tiene como objetivo principal formar y desarrollar competencias de comprensión y producción en ingles para que los aprendices adquieran la habilidad de expresarse de forma efectiva en segunda lengua.

Porque es importante participar 

Es importante que participen en los foros y en las demás actividades propuestas por el tutor ya que cuando opinan y aportan ideas al curso contribuyen al conocimiento colectivo; ayudando a sus compañeros y a ustedes mismos a tener ideas más claras y a ir adquiriendo competencias en el idioma inglés.

A quien va dirigido el curso 

El curso está orientado a los aprendices SENA de carreras técnicas y tecnológicas con el objetivo de complementar su formación profesional, igualmente está a toda aquella persona que se encuentre interesada en aprender el idioma inglés.

Estrategias Metodológicas De acuerdo con la modalidad del curso, podemos decir que las estrategias metodológicas a poner en marcha en nuestro curso adoptaran las técnicas didactas de auto aprendizaje y trabajo colaborativo para garantizar que los aprendices construyan sus propios conocimientos durante la realización del curso.

Medios y Mediaciones Didácticas El curso se desarrollará mediante la ejecución de actividades de construcción individual mediante la utilización de las siguientes mediaciones didácticas:



Foros



El foro será un espacio de comunicación asincrónico, que dejará en manos del estudiante la responsabilidad y posibilidad de planear, organizar y de estructurar una idea o argumento. El foro requerirá de una permanente interacción con los compañeros y el tutor.

Sesiones de chat El chat será un espacio de comunicación sincrónica, en donde los aprendices realizarán procesos cognitivos a partir de la socialización de algún tema de interés general con otros compañeros, influyendo en la construcción colectiva del conocimiento.

Plataforma tecnológica en esta plataforma el aprendiz irá realizando actividades de Ingles que le permitirán asumir un rol activo al ser el constructor inicial de su aprendizaje.

Actividades de refuerzo Son actividades que el tutor proporcionará a los aprendices para reforzar el conocimiento ya adquirido o aclarar dudas en los temas trabajados en el proceso de aprendizaje.



 

Criterios de Aprobación del Curso Que debe hacer el aprendiz para lograr la certificación de competencias.      

Actualizar su ficha de matricula según corresponda.

Realizar al inicio del proceso de formación su presentación al curso.

Realizar el sondeo de conocimientos previos.

Participar activamente en los diferentes foros.

Realizar unidades de la plataforma Rosetta Stone.

Realizar un proyecto final.

Para la aprobación del curso es importante que tengan en cuenta los siguientes porcentajes:    

Sondeo: 2% Foro Temático: 18% Proyecto: 20% Unidades Totales Plataforma Rosetta Stone : 85% para aprobar el curso y pasar al siguiente nivel.

Recuerden que el curso se aprueba y certifica si alcanzan como mínimo el 70% en la nota final del curso,Teniendo en cuenta que en el total de las unidades de Rosetta Stone haya tenido un porcentaje superior al 85%.
