TEXT (INTRO) In Philippine History, It’s always said that the colonizers were the bad guys, after the United States colonized us back in World War 1 or the Spanish-American War that allowed the Americans to alter everything starting from the Language, to educational system and public transportation, until the world war 2 where the Japanese invasion happened and the battle of Manila of 1945. After these colonizers used the Philippines as a battle ground, finally, in July 4, 1946, the United States declared the Philippines as an Independent Nation. But are we really independent now?

TEXT (TOPIC) Now, we’re gonna list down the top things which would remind us of our American influence and the things we’ve adopted from the Americans. 1. Free Education – Free education was introduced by the Americans, by sending teachers to establish public schools for the underprivileged youth. 2. The English language – No wonder why Filipinos were really good in English compared to most of the countries in Asia and more non-English speaking countries. That’s why WE CONYO, Oh, the conyo times! 3. Freedom from religion – Our religious freedom were given to us by the Americans, this has allowed diversity in religious and non-religious choices. 4. Clothing – Since being Americanized is being “liberated”, as they are the influencer of liberty and democracy. Clothing has been modernized and starting from Maria Clara dress up to spice girls outfit. 5. Food – Seems like, a total transformation and an
