Anjana Samadder has meticulously devoted several years towards community services, first as a physician ( Gastroenterologist) and now as a AAPI leader. Since being elected as AAPI Treasurer in 2018, she has ensured tremendous financial stability for AAPI through various sponsorships. As part of her fund raising effort she is actively involved in organizing AAPI nine city Musical Tour (Jai Ho) in May of this year.

She has been the Regional Director of AAPI Northeast Central from 2016 to 2018 and the President for local AAPI-Central Ohio chapter from 2013 to 2015. She has been AAPI patron member for more than 20 Years and active Governing Body member since 2013. She was instrumental in starting new AAPI Gastroenterology Alumni Chapter in 2014.

As a member of the Woman’s Forum in 2015, she has taken the task of promoting Women’s empowerment.

She played a pivotal role in the success of AAPI Convention 2018 in Columbus, Ohio. She introduced for the first time AAPI Peagent and kids debate competition to increase participation in our annual Convention.

She was one of the founding members of AAPI Veterans Obesity Awareness Campaign in 2018. As the main coordinator of AAPI Global Summit, Kolkata 2017, she organized Educational and CME Programs and was also instrumental in opening the first AAPI free Health clinic in West Bengal.

She has been honoured with the National Leadership award and the Ohio Asian Leader Honouree in 2012. She has also successfully served as the Honorary Co-chairman for the Physicians Advisory Board.

Anjana Samadder has the all the qualities and passion to be a true AAPI leader. She has the futuristic vision of taking AAPI to new heights.

Message from Dr. Anajana Samadder My name is Anjana Samadder and I am a graduate of Calcutta Medical College, Kolkata. I grew up learning that honesty, integrity, commitment and empathy are key elements to be a effective leader. Success does not come easy but with lot of hard work, focus and dedication which I imbibed over the course of my career.

As I await the coming days of AAPI’s annual election, I choose to steer my campaign only to the positive side with good vibes and a lot of motivation.

For the past 20+ years in AAPI, I have proven myself as a honest, reliable and committed member. As AAPI Treasurer, I was actively involved in organizing fund raising events, working alongside with our President Dr Naresh Parikh and other EC members.

AAPI, today is not a part of the national healthcare policy making. My vision is to focus on AAPI being invited in Capitol to participate in Healthcare Reform debate.

AAPI Treasurer works closely with the President to Make AAPI Great Again AAPI like other organizations is going through some tough time in raising funds from pharma and device companies. Every effort is made to find various other resources, like non-pharma and other corporates..

Among the AAPI officers, Dr. Anjana Samadder, our current AAPI treasurer, turned out to be the “ fund raising queen” this year through her perseverance , devotion and unconditional commitment to the organization and the President; Dr. Naresh Parikh by reaching out to non-traditional sponsors. We need leaders like Anjana to lead AAPI through these difficult times.

AAPI Ten City tour is planned with the hope of raising funds to improve our finances. AAPI salutes Dr. Narendra Kumar & Dr.Hemant Dhingra for taking the responsibility to organizing this multicity educational and Jai Ho musical tour.

Dr. Anjana Samadder has been chosen to be the National Funds manager for this multicity tour and is doing a great job in coordinating with all 10 local treasurers to maintain transparency and accountability. We request each and every one of you to support this program by promoting and attending at least one program, closer to your place.

AAPI leadership is in discussion with ENCORE to create a multi-year contract, when finalized will turn out to be the historic agreement in AAPI history and should resolve the financial hardship which our organization is facing at present. We have an opportunity to receive $450,000 every year for the next ten years. We will do even better, if ENCORE does well through their association with us. We thank all AAPI officers and some of the senior advisors who took a very positive approach, in bringing both parties for intense discussion and negotiation.
