Before Iza met Ben, she was in the stage of moving on from her long-term relationship. She decided to go out and mingle with new people until she met Ben at a magazine event.

Iza shared that Ben was the one to approach her first and asked for her Facebook account.

Iza then gave him a heads up, telling Ben that she is not into playing games and asked him not to complicate things and just get her number.

They’ve been together for four years now, but they still have no plans of settling down.

Both of them are still into their own careers and are still finding the right time to get married.

Soleen and Nico met in a club. “So it’s just parang to prove na we can find true love in the modern society we live in now,” Solenn said.

After dating for more than three years, Solenn and Nico are now engaged and are planning to have their wedding this year not only once but two times. The first will be in Brittany, France where Solenn grew up and the second one will be a civil wedding in Argentina where Nico’s family is based.

Theirs was a kind of magical story.

On March 2014, Pokwang met a little girl named Angel at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag in Pangasinan. This girl said that she will eventually fall in love with a foreigner with blue eyes whom she will work with in the future. True enough, he met Lee O’Brian on their film EDSA Woolworth and fell in love with him.

It was love at first sight for Lee O’Brian. The two officially became a couple last January 20, 2015 when he went to Manila and confessed his love for Pokwang.

Bianca was still recovering after her relationship with businessman Ryan Ordonez. Fabio was once with model Denisse Oca with whom he has a daughter named Danielle.

Fabio had tried courting her before but then she was seeing someone else. “So this time parang okay friends naman kami talaga to begin with. Parang sige nga…” she added.

“Both of us came from a traumatic relationship. So we’re praying for the best, hoping for the best,” Bianca said on an interview with Push.com.

They would like to describe their love as “two hearts beating as one.”

Bryan met Ina in April 1999. “I didn’t talk to him because I don’t really like white guys,” Ina said. Ina then had a boyfriend, but Bryan was persistent.

After their first meeting, they lost contact for almost a year but then saw each other again in Cebu. Ina broke up with her boyfriend and that time she was the one who made a move on Bryan.

Ina said, “You know why I didn’t like him at all? I thought he was wearing dentures! He has such a perfect set of teeth!”

They got married in 2003 and now have 5 beautiful children.

“Parang chickboy na mayabang.” This was the Patricia’s first impression of her chiropractor husband, Robert. They first met in San Diego, California in 2003 during Patricia’s series of shows.

He was the one who asked Patricia for breakfast on the beach.

On December 2005, they got married in a courthouse in San Diego and almost two months later, they went through a more elaborate wedding ceremony. The second wedding was a surprise that Patricia organized for her husband on a Valentine’s Day. They have now been married for almost 10 years and have two children. They’ve also decided to live in the Philippines for now.

Isabelle said that she and Adrien started on the wrong foot. She did not want to go out with him back then. She was still recovering from a major breakup so she turned down Adrien every time he wanted to hang out.

One time, Adrien invited Isabelle to play football with some street children at the Manila Bay. Isabelle then agreed to go with him but canceled at the last minute because she got sick. And that was the seventh time she turned him down. She rested the whole day and went out in the evening to meet some friends for dinner.

And guess what? Adrien was the first person she saw there! Isabelle felt guilty about Adrien who didn’t seem to believe her. They dated for almost four months before making a firmer commitment and now they have been together for six years.

fter starring in various successful projects together, Dawn Zulueta is set to team up again with Richard Gomez. The actress shared that their new soap You’re My Home will tackle the story of a family facing certain challenges in life. “Umiikot ‘yung istorya sa pamilya, it’s a family drama [about sa] ‘yung pinagdadaanan ng pamilya. At may mga anak kami dito si Jessy Mendiola, si Sam Concepcion at si Paul Salas. Maganda namang family drama,” she shared.

The soap is set to air in the primetime slot. With young love teams like JaDine (James Reid and Nadine Lustre) and KathNiel (Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo) dominating primetime, Dawn is thankful that CharDawn will add excitement and flavor to the viewing experience of the Filipinos.

“Actually natutuwa din kami dahil parang iba naman ‘yung flavor na maiihatid ng CharDawn kung iko-kompara naman sa mga bagets di ba? So at least may flavors naman ang audience natin,” she said.

Dawn hopes that this show will receive the same level of support that her previous projects with Richard Gomez have received from their supporters. “As much as possible we try to choose the projects and the material na gagawin namin pero in the end umaasa pa rin kami sa audience na sana talaga magustuhan nila,” she said.

The actress also expressed her happiness that people are still interested with her team-up with Richard. “Ako kasi I’m just very grateful na hanggang ngayon tinatangkilik pa rin kami ng mga audience, na naaapektuhan pa rin sila sa amin, na gusto pa rin nila kaming makitang working together, falling in love, fighting, getting back together, ‘yun pa rin ‘yung gusto nilang kind of roller coaster ride pag-nanonood sila ng shows namin o movies namin,” she said.

ENCHONG DEE THINKS HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH A NON-SHOWBIZ GIRL SUITS HIM BETTER Enchong Dee shared with Kris Aquino and Sam Milby his love story with non-showbiz girlfriend Sam Lewis. He first shared how he met the half-British, half-Pinay model.

“Sa fashion show sa isang event tapos parang lumapit lang ako na, which I don’t do. Alam mo, sabi nga sa akin ng kapatid ko ‘Kuya you got game pala’ sabi ng kapatid ko sa akin yung mas bata. Oo [first time to approach first] kasi sabi ko nga thinking out loud, ‘Okay to a, cute nito’ tapos sabi ko ‘Hi I’m ganito ganyan can I have your Instagram account?’ tapos parang everything’s so fluid.”

PAULEEN LUNA REVEALS NEW WEDDING DATE WITH VIC SOTTO While she didn’t share the exact date, contrary to past reports, Pauleen Luna revealed that she and fiance Vic Sotto are getting married January of next year.

It may be recalled that it was Pauleen’s manager Lolit Solis who revealed that the couple are set to tie the knot in their private home in Laguna this coming December.

In an interview with PEP, Pauleen revealed that they are now getting busier with the preparations for their big day.

“Well, every week nagmi-meet na kami with the [wedding] coordinator. Ngayon medyo final na yung caterer, and then the one who will make my dress and Vic’s suit,” she said.

Pauleen said that their wedding ensemble will be created by locally-renowned designer Francis Libiran.

Meanwhile, Pauleen brushed off rumors that she’s currently getting pressured with all the preparations that she’s making for their big day.

The goal according to Pauleen is “gusto namin na halos matapos na lahat na kailangan

by October, para November-December and then onwards, hindi na masyadong ma-pressure.”

Pauleen also finally addressed the issues about her and Vic reportedly having a prenuptial

Ella is currently a part of TV 5’s Saturday series. She clarified that the show didn’t require her to change management and that they just wanted to explore their options.

Karylle Learned Through the Years -“Lahat ng ayaw kong gawin, gagawin ko. Lahat ng kinatatakutan ko mao-overcome ko. I think it started when naging partner ko si Anne, alam mo naman yun sobrang fearless. I started to see the beauty in the scarier things and I remember the exact moment na nawala yung takot ko kasi ang ganda ganda tignan nung ginagawa naming aerial hoop nung magpartner kami ni Anne, that was the first time na nanalo ako.

And yung kanina parang ayaw ko talaga ng fire pero ‘di ba naisip ko nalang we made sure that everything was safe nung tinesting nila na hindi flammable yung mga pintura panatag na yung loob ko. Sabi nga ni Billy siya yung natakot kasi ang lapit ko sa kanya so natutuwa ako kasi parang hindi na ako natakot talaga. I mean the little things we do to make the prod Showtime, talagang may kaba factor in me.”

Karylle Nakaka-Good Vibes -“One of the [highlights], I attended the Ted Manila talk. For my ten years in Child Haus I was able to do a tick in my bucket list such as that.

I’d never really done a talk and the Pangilinans helped me, Mr. Anthony Pangilinan nag-workshop ako sa kanya, so that was one major thing for me but a lot of other things, a lot of things are happening.”

Vice Ganda Nakaka-Good Vibes -“The biggest highlight of year is yet to come on December may film fest movie with Coco (Martin) and JaDine (James Reid and Nadine Lustre).”

According to Coleen, it was really fun bringing the show to Binan and be closer to the madlanag people in the said town. “I’ve been here to Binan a couple of times for mall shows and the crowd has always been warm. The people here in Binan are very welcoming and it’s good to see that the same goes for today and it’s really exciting, this whole thing that we’re doing.

Travelling to different places, meeting the madlang people face to face, it’s really exciting,” she said.

Teddy stated that the energy is really unbelievable in Binan. “Ibang energy din ng mga taga Binan eh, nagulat kami. Honestly kasi ‘yung nag Araneta kami tayo ng balahbo namin sa dami ng tao so iba rin ‘yung mas intimate ‘yung energy, ‘yung madlang people ngayon mas malapit so mas malakas.”

IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT MOVIE OF THIS CENTURY n his second movie project this year, Dennis Trillo brings to life the role of Felix Manalo, the First Executive Minister of Iglesia ni Cristo in monumental film that traces the origin of the INC church.

Dennis said he considers himself lucky to be recommended for the role by the film’s director Joel Lamangan. “Katoliko ako eh, kaya nagulat ako nung sabi nila ako yung gaganap. Sabi ko, ‘Bakit kaya hindi kapatid yung pinili nila?’ In-explain naman nila na siyempre gusto naman nila magampanan ng maayos, hindi na nila inisip yung mga relihiyon ng mga artista.

Gusto nila siguro kung sino ang makakaganap at mapapanindigan yung role na yun.”

The actor also admitted he is still overwhelmed after he finished 57 shooting days in over eight months for the film. “Ngayon ko lang na-ri-realize unti-unti na this is the role of a lifetime. Siguro kahit patayin na ako pinapalabas pa rin ito kung saan man.

Feeling ko magiging isa sa mga important pelikula ito of the century. Ito na yung pinakamalaking project na nagawa ko sa buong buhay ko. Ito na talaga yun eh wala ng iba. Hindi ko alam kung may darating pa na ganitong role ulit. Minsan lang ito

One of the people who is happy for him is his current TV series co-star and former flame Jennylyn Mercado. “Natuwa lang siya para sa akin. Siyempre alam niya kung gaano kalaki yung Iglesia so naiisip rin niya siguro yung posibilidad kung gaano ito magiging isang malaking project,” he said. Even though there is speculation that there might be a reconciliation between the two of them, Dennis says work is his main focus for now, “We’re very well.

Maayos naman lahat. Hindi naman ito ulit yung first time namin magkatrabaho pero ito yung first time magkatrabaho five years ago. Pero sa awa ng diyos maganda naman yung mga nanagyayari. Lahat maganda kaya thank you Lord.”

“Opo, sa pelikula, ito na po ang pinakamalaki,” nakangiti niyang pahayag nang mainterbyu ng Push.com.ph.

At dahil sa laki ng talent fee ni Dennis sa biopic ng Iglesia Ni Cristo leader na si Ka Felix, katakut-takot na paghahanda naman daw ang kanyang ginawa.

“Sa preparasyon, marami po kaming pinagdaanan.

Nag-immersion po kami, kinausap po kami ng mga ministro, ni-lecture-an po, backgrounder, binigyan po kami ng mga babasahin and siyempre po, pinagaralan namin ‘yung script,” kuwento ng aktor.

“Ang mahirap pa po du’n, ‘yung pagiging Ka Felix Manalo mismo dahil isa siyang napakaimpluwensiyang tao,” kuwento pa niya.

Mabuti na lang daw habang nagsusyuting sila ay may mga kasama silang ministro na nagga-guide sa kanya.

Umabot ng 59 days ang kanyang shooting ng Felix Manalo. Siya na rin ang gumanap na matandang Ka Felix na dapat ay kay Albert Martinez. Ang maganda naman daw, binigyan siya ng panibagong kontrata dito.

“May separate contract naman po kaya okey lang,” sabi pa niya.

“Medyo mahirap lang yung matandang Ka Felix kasi matagal ikabit yung fat suit at matagal ding tanggalin and mainit. Pero lahat naman ‘yun kayang tiisin dahil alam ko naman na maganda ‘yung proyektong ginagawa ko,” deklara pa niya.

‘FELIX MANALO’ MARKS MANY ‘FIRSTS’ FOR DIRECTOR JOEL LAMANGAN

Ipinagmalaki naman ni Direk Joel na hindi siya nahirapan sa cast ng Felix Manalo. Very cooperative daw ang lahat kahit pa umabot sa 120 ang artista sa pelikula.

“Magaan sila lahat katrabaho. Wala naging pasaway. Smooth lahat,” sey pa niya.

Marami rin daw siyang na-experience for the first time kahit matagal na siyang nagdidirek ng pelikula while doing Felix Manalo tulad halimbawa ng pagrerecreate ng mga lumang kapilya ng Iglesia Ni Cristo.

“Nag-build ako ng set. I recreated Tipas in 1886.

BELA PADILLA ON ‘FELIX MANALO’ MOVIE ROLE: ‘THIS IS AN ACTOR’S DREAM’

ith her return to the Kapamilya network, Bela Padilla said a lot has changed about her and her career. “First and foremost I think I’m more sure of myself now kasi mahirap yung transition period ko kasi I was parang hanging last year? Like I didn’t know if I was going to stay with GMA or finally take that leap of faith and move to ABSCBN. At least now I know that I can make decisions for myself, my managers back me up, people trust me with big projects so nabigyan ako ng I guess security na kaya ko ito. I don’t want to think of it as second wind kasi that would parang sound like I was lost for a while, but actually I was just waiting because I knew that I was going to move to ABS-CBN so this was all part of my wish, like I really wanted to move back. I talked to my bosses in GMA

when I left, I told them this is my plan and I feel like I’m going to grow more there and I asked them respectfully if I could move.

I’m not the kind of person who would just leave. I’m very loyal so for move means a lot. Parang it took a lot of time for me to think of my move. It’s just that right now I need to work with people who I feel like will also be loyal to me or I guess who will return the level of loyalty that I gave,” she explained during the Felix Manalo movie grand presscon held last August 21.

In the film, Bela plays the wife of Iglesia Ni Cristo founder Felix Manalo (played by Dennis Trillo). “Sana panuorin niyo ang Felix Manalo and abangan niyo ako bilang si Ka Honorata. First time ko na gaganap ng ganitong character na totoong tao. First time ko mag-portray ng character na ibang iba sa itsura ko and first time kong patatandain sa isang movie so maraming aabangan in terms of yung buong movie plus madami kayong iba’t ibang gagawin ng mga artist katulad namin ni Dennis,” she said.

When she got offered the role, Bela admitted she immediately jumped at the opportunity. “This is an actor’s dream. Even before they told me na papatandain nila ako, just to be part of such a historical and huge project is an actor’s dream. I only had a few days to prepare. If they told me on a Monday, I started shooting on Thursday so I had like three days. Naghanap ako ng pictures niya. I googled her photos. I wanted to see first what she looked like.

Kasi pag feeling ko mas dikit na sa akin yung itsura, mas madali na sa akin i-arte yung character. Lahat tinanong ko kung ano bang dapat na atake, anong dapat gawin. Nauna si Dennis nag-shoot sa akin and nagtanong din ako sa kanya,” she added.

Apart from Felix Manalo, Bela is also set to star with Coco Martin in the teleserye Ang Probinsyano. When asked

First time din na magso-showing ang pelikula ko sa 300 cinemas sa pagbubukas nito on Oct. 7.

“Ako din, first time kong gumawa sa Iglesia.”

Nang tanungin namin siya kung first time din ba niyang makatanggap ng pinakamalaking TF as a director, ang sagot niya, “First time ko rin. Haha-ha! Pero huwag kayong maingay, baka habulin akong BIR,” pabiro niyang pahayag na sinundan ng malakas na halakhak.

After Felix Manalo, Bela returns to the big screen with another exciting project she was just informed of recently. “They told me that at the end of this year I’m going to start a light film na ngayon ko lang din ma-ta-try na rom-com kasi lately puro heavy drama, parang ganyan. But I can’t tell you yet who else is part of it. I just found out the other day. I’m excited na sunod sunod and I’m excited na iba iba yung nagagawa ko,” she said.

Yon ang problema ng mga babae. Tapos yung iba nga, I’ve heard na nagkakaproblema sila with their notes, yung key nila bumababa.

“Hindi ko naman naging problema yon although okey din lang naman if ever, pero ang mas naging problema ko is yung ACID REFLUX kasi parang, I think I had it naman na before pero talagang naging grabe lang siya after giving birth.

“So, medyo yon ang mahirap talaga kasi talagang nagkacrack yung voice ko. It was very hard for me to sing, plus yung confidence ko bumaba din kasi minsan, akala mo okey tapos biglang mag-a-attack siya so parang you can’t do anything about it.

Hirap ako talagang kumanta, as in nahihirapan talaga ako,” seryosong kuwento ni Regine.

Pero medyo okey na raw naman ang boses niya ngayon.

“But now, slowly, slowly I’m getting back. Sabi din kasi ng throat doctor ko na I just have to keep singing para may... kumbaga, muscle memory yan, eh... so that my voice would get used to reaching those notes again.

“Kasi siyempre, I was singing almost everyday, grabe yung ginawa kong kanta before I gave birth and then I suddenly stopped for almost two years, talagang abrupt yung pagka-stop, so medyo nanibago yung vocal chords ko.

“But thank God, it’s getting back to normal. Minsan, once in a while I still have a hard time, on and off pa rin siya, kasi yung acid reflux wala naman kasi talagang gamot, eh... you just manage it.

“So that’s what I’m doing now. I’m trying to manage the acid reflux. And then, practice na lang nang practice,” pagtatapos ng Asia’s Songbird.

43,624 ang bilang ng mga taong nanood ng premiere night and after the verification of Guinness World Records officials and adjucators na sina Marco Frigatti at Victoria Tweedy, ini-announce nga na nakuha ng Felix Manalo ang dalawang Guiness World Records.

Masayang-masaya naman ang bida ng Felix Manalo na si Dennis Trillo dahil sa nangyari at sa pagko-congratulate sa kanyang pelikula. Si Dennis ang gumanap sa katauhan ni Ka Felix sa pelikula.

“Napakaraming magagandang nangyayari na hindi normal na nangyayari, so feeling ko, nasa panaginip ako. Even before her confirmation came in, photos of Sarah together with Sam Milby did the rounds online.

How is she feeling about this?

“I’m excited, of course. I’m working with amazing actors for the first time. But they’re all talented and amazing actors. So I’m very, very excited for that,” she said.

The said soap will be headlined by Piolo Pascual, Toni Gonzaga, Jolina Magdangal, and Sam. Set to be directed by returning Kapamilya director Andoy Ranay, the soap will also be the reunion project of Toni and Sam after eight years.

Meanwhile, Piolo, in a separate interview, expressed excitement over the fact that he will be working with Sarah for the first time.

“I’m so excited to work with her because ang sarap niyang panooring magsayaw. Ang bait niya at saka magaan,” he said, adding that he is friends with the Gutierrez siblings Ruffa, Raymond, and Richard (Sarah’s long-time boyfriend).

“Nakasama ko siya before sa Malaysia, so okay naman. We are friends with Richard, Raymond and Ruffa. I’m excited to work with her,” he added.

As to the persistent question, Sarah remained noncommittal if she’s now officially a Kapamilya or if negotiations about it happening are underway.

“Hopefully, hopefully yeah maging confirmed na very soon. Ayoko lang magsalita ng hindi pa tapos. Abangan niyo na lang,” she ended.

Francine confirmed that her American boyfriend Frank Shotkoski popped the question on Tuesday night via a recent interview with ABS-CBN News.

“Dapat daw nung birthday ko kaso nag-Bible study ako. Tapos halos wala kaming chance na kami lang, palagi may kasama. Kagabi lang,” she said in the report.

Francine has turned 33 last September 17.

The couple have yet to set a wedding date. According to Francine, her fiance is set to leave the country by Thursday and will be returning in November.

Asked why she finally decided to settle down, “I guess when you meet the right person at ‘yung lahat ng values na gusto mo nasa kanya at kung paano ang treatment niya sa ‘yo.

Although she will soon be a wife, Francine stressed that quitting the show business is not part of her options.

part form juggling her duties as a TV host, mom, wife and daughter, Danica Sotto-Pingris admitted she was happy to get the chance to show off her creative side when she was asked to decorate a living room as one of the chosen designers for Shangri-la mall’s “Inspired Homes: Dream Living Spaces Exhibit.” “I felt excited but parang not naman nervous but I was a bit challenged kasi I know there are a lot of nice stores here in Shangri-la. I’m very particular with what I choose for my furniture or for the details for the living room, but the thing is I am limited because I have kids. So everything has to be kid-proof or baby-proof. Since I have two kids. I have a seven-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl so this is the stage where they really run around the house and things might break so if you look at my house, it’s kind of like the one that we designed, but just less details and the figurine and breakable stuff,” she shared during the exhibit opening held at the East Wing of Shangri-la mall last October 8.

When she entertains guests at home, Danica said she wants her visitors to feel welcome at all times. “I like my home to be homey, simple and very traditional with modern pieces. For example when I have visitors, I want them to see the space as very inviting and cozy. I don’t want them to feel as if they can’t move because everything’s too expensive or it’s just too clean. And I want it to really feel like a home and look like a home,” she told Push.com.ph.

With her dad Vic Sotto becoming newly engaged to Pauleen Luna, the couple have been open about currently working on their dream home. Danica said she does not have any input on her dad’s soon-tobe matrimonial home. “No, I haven’t seen their house,” she admitted. The 32-year-old host said she is also not part of the couple’s wedding plans, if any have already been finalized. “No. I think it’s really Pauleen who’s fixing everything so she’s not naman getting us involved kasi parang it’s her wedding so parang feeling ko awkward naman din to get us involved.

I mean I never got Oyo (her brother) to be involved. Well baka kasi he’s a boy pero parang usually di ba ayaw mo naman unless you have like a sister like Ciara (her cousin) got her sisters involved. Pero at the end of the day, she’ll be the one to choose to pa rin what makes her happy,” she added.

orean YouTube stars Minji Sung and Lydia Choi also known as Roaming Koreanas seemed to have had a great time “reacting” to four Kapamilya celebrity teen couples.

During the 10-minute video, the two ladies were shown at least two pictures of each love team to comment on how they look, whether they look good together and to guess their respective ages.

The first couple shown to them was KathNiel composed of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

Both of them thought Daniel “looks so young” but “his eyes make him look older.”

The two thought that Kathryn was pretty but they suggested that her hairstyle and make up in one of the photos make her look old. However, the two thought that they look good together.

In fact, during the latter part of their video, they both revealed that KathNiel was their favorite among the four couples.

“I think they shot a movie together also so they’re pretty much good and perfect together,” said MJ. The second teen couple they reacted on was LizQuen composed of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil. Lydia immediately recognized Enrique just a few moments after seeing his first photo as the guy that “sings the shake shake fries theme song.”

The two ladies were left astounded upon seeing Liza’s photo that their only comment was “Wow!” “She’s really pretty. Is she his girlfriend?” Lydia asked.

Minji added about the Forevermore actress, “Like a model. Her eyes, her smile. She’s really pretty.”

The third couple they saw were the Para Sa Hopeless Romantic stars JulNigo composed of Julia Barretto and Iñigo Pascual.

Upon seeing his photo, Lydia was convinced that Iñigo looks like Jacob in Twilight Saga played by Taylor Lautner. Meanwhile they thought Julia’s face looks very natural Filipina.

The last couple they saw are the On The Wings of Love stars James Reid and Nadine Lustre also known as JaDine.

Minji, after seeing James’s topless photo, thought “He’s hot and he’s cute.” On the other hand, they also noticed the fact that Nadine and Kathryn look alike. Minji commented that Nadine somehow looks like an East Asian.

According to their YouTube profile, the Roaming Koreanas started documenting their explorations in the Philippines last February out of “love” and their desire to “share the Filipino culture to others.”

When asked if he will be the love interest of Jessy Mendiola’s character in the show, he responded, “Well, wala pa kami don sa love although alam namin ‘yung both families are not okay not [on] good terms kaya there’s conflict talaga so abangan nila kung anong mangyayari sa story namin.”

Besides his new TV project, JC is also working on a new movie with Nora Aunor. “Matagal na siyang nagsho-shoot, on going pa naman, hindi pa siya natatapos. Working title lang so hindi pa namin pwedeng sabihin ang title,” he said. “Kasi yung ginawa naming detailed talaga siya. Every detail nung scene pinapakita nila sa amin from hand gestures to pagturn ng head kaya kuhang kuha namin yung bawat movement.

Actually we just really had to watch those scenes over and over again kasi napanuod ko na lahat yun.

“Actually nakakatawa kasi favorite films ko yun lahat. So nung ginawa namin yung scenesnakakatuwa kasi you get to play one of your favorite charactersfor a day,” she shared during the HOOQ event held last October 8 at URBN Bar & Kitchen in BGC. One of the most memorable scenes she had to recreate was in Zorrowhere Catherine Zeta-Jones almost gets undressed after a duel. Jessysaid she thankfully did not have to go on a diet to prepare for thesexy scene.

“No naman (laughs). Nakakatawa nga hindi ko talaga iniexpect na gagawin namin exactly yung scene sa Mask of Zorro, yung paghubad talaga ng damit hindi ko talaga na gagawin yun.

Sabi ko, ‘What? Hindi ako prepared!’ Pero pagtingin ko sa shot okay naman pala (laughs),” she recalled.

After working together with Xian in the made for mobile movie Must Date the Playboy, Jessy admitted she is very comfortable with him already. They even flew to Thailand together to shoot the commercials.

Assunta de Rossi is set to star in the upcoming Kapamilya teleserye You’re My Home. According to the actress, her role in the soap is far different from the previous characters she has portrayed before. “Very interesting ang role ko dito. I play the role of Jackie… I can’t reveal too much. Noong pinanood ko ‘yung trailer they told me, ‘Hindi ka muna namin isasama kasi secret ka pa.’ Mabait ako dito, hindi ako kontrabida,” she shared in an interview with Push.com.ph.

The members of the cast include Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta and Assunta has nothing but good words for the remarkable love team. Though she rarely does a scene with them, she said that she truly admires their acting skills. “Hindi ko sila nakaka-work masyado kasi magkaiba kami [pero] later on magcro-cross’ yung paths namin. So I haven’t had the chance to work with them every single day but yeah magkakakilala naman kaming tatlo, si Goma (Richard) alam naman nating magaling na artista si Dawn don din, super beautiful grabe,” she said.

On going back to acting, Assunta remarked that she is ecstatic about being part of the teleserye.

fter providing the voice of Paddington in the Hollywood movie Paddington last year, Xian Lim revealed he is part of another international project as one of the celebrity endorsers of Asia’s largest video-on-demand service, HOOQ. The Kapamilya actor recently shot three commercials for the brand with Jessy Mendiola that had them recreating iconic scenes from three blockbuster movies. “I’m just really thankful sa lahat ng blessings na pumupunta sa akin and I’m really excited for all my supporters and everyone na mapanuod nila itong ginawa nmain na tatlong pelikula dahil dito nag-enjoy lahat. And I can’t wait for them to see it. Meron tayong Jerry Maguire, Zorro, and Pulp Fiction,” he shared during the HOOQ event held last October 8 at URBN Bar in BGC. Xian said he learned a lot from working with a foreign crew that included an Irish director and an Academy Award WINNING Director of Photography while shooting the commercials. “Yung scene namin sa Zorro ang galing eh, ang galing nung approach.

It feels great kasi nung nandun kami we learn a lot from each other. They do things differently and just working with people from all over the world like Ireland and the States. Our director was from Ireland. Talagang it was a privilege doing this whole project,” he said.

Being reunited with his Must Date the Playboy co-star made the shoot more enjoyable as well. “Yung mga eksena kasi na ginawa namin it was played on loop para makuha talaga namin yung mga eksena sa movies na yun and it was really fun. We were just enjoying the whole time. Wala ng hiyaan sa amin,” he said.

Currently shooting for his upcoming teleserye in Palawan, Xian shared a recent accident on set that had him walking in pain that day. “So we had a scene for The Story of Us and paahon na ako sa shore and my last kick merong isang malaking sea urchin na naghihintay dun sa paa ko. And right after that I was rushed to the clinic tapos yun binigyan naman nila ako ng proper medication. Pero sobrang sakit (laughs),” he recalled.

Xian said that he doesn’t mind their hectic shooting schedule because he knows the viewers will enjoy his new soap with Kim Chiu.

“We just came back from Palawan from kanina and I guarantee mag-e-enjoy talaga yung mga manunuod not only because of the scenery, not only the feel but kumbaga ito yung inaabangan nila eh.

Makikita na rin nila sa wakas. I’m really excited and Kim is also excited,” he added.

POKWANG shares the story behind her pregnancy

O

n Kris TV, comedienne Pokwang together with her beau Lee O’Brien shared with host Kris Aquino and guest cohost K Brosas the story behind her pregnancy and unfortunate miscarriage.

Pokwang said that she first consulted K as she was still doubting if she’s really pregnant. The two then went to an OB/GYN and it was confirmed she’s really pregnant. That’s the only time when she told her boyfriend Lee the good news.

“Nung nasigurado na talaga namin sa OB na ‘Yes, you’re pregnant’ tsaka ko na nasabi sa kanya (Lee). [It was a] Sunday, merong lunch sa bahay with some friends, pinakita ko sa kanya ‘yung ultrasound keme,” Pokwang said.

When Lee met Pokwang he was a bachelor and this was supposed to be his first child.

When asked about his reaction he said, “I was happy, you know it’s something that we’ve both wanted so I think it was something like kind of, in the process obviously there’s that initial ‘absolutely am I ready?’ this is different you know like ‘cause that’s a new phase in life it’s a whole new chapter and understanding responsibilities that come with it.”

“Oo parang ganun, para matuloy kasi masyadong mahina ‘yung kapit. Oo (she was told to rest), kasi sinabi ko sa kanila na parang one week na’kong nag sa-spotting parang ‘di na tama. So siyempre natakot sila sabi, ‘Mamang umuwi ka na muna or pumunta ka sa doctor pa-checkup mo na yan’,” Pokwang elaborated.

“Sobrang hina talaga nung heartbeat ng bata and then the next, Saturday wala na. Wala nang heartbeat,” she sadly shared.

Meanwhile, Pokie’s daughter Mae sent a touching message for her and Lee, which moved them to tears.

“To my Mom, Seeing you happy makes me happy. Alam mo naman po kung ano ang tama para sa sarili mo. Sana siya na talaga ‘yung taong sinasabi mo na gusto mong magpasaya sayo hanggang pagtanda mo. I love you po.

“To Lee, Take good care of her, she is all I’ve got. I’m happy for the both of you.”

After sharing the good news, Pokwang experienced difficulty with her pregnancy.

“Korek, naloka ‘ko nun sabi ko bakit ganun.

Nung una ‘di ba sabi ni Doc normal lang yang mga ganyan pahabol parang ganyan. Pero parang ‘di na’ko natutuwa tumi-three days na hindi na tama ito,” she shared.

At that time, Kris and Pokwang prayed together on a Sunday and the Queen of All Media advised her that maybe it was time for her to take a break from work to be able to save the baby because its heartbeat was getting weak. During Pokwang’s pregnancy she was busy with the primetime series “Nathaniel” and the staff also told her to take a break and check with the doctor to know more about the baby’s condition.

The Kapamilya actress shared she has a very hectic work schedule on and off the set of PSY. “Nakakapahinga ako pag break sa set. Usually pag Sundays after ASAP. Pero hindi ko pala muna linalagay sa dictionary yung rest ngayon kasi busy nga sa Pangako Sa ‘Yo kasi hand-to-mouth kami.

Hindi naman ako nagrereklamo kasi alam ko rin naman importante and may binabayaran din ako. May motivation ako na kailangan ko mag work harder everyday kasi marami pa akong gustong ma-achieve, mabili at mapag-ipunan so trabaho lang ako ng trabaho, tanggap lang ako ng tanggap,” she said.

Off the set, Kathryn divulged she cherishes her growing friendship with Pamu Pamorada, Marlann Flores, Thou Reyes and blogger Arisse de Santos.

“Feeling ko kasi siguro naaaliw sila sa mga trip namin kasi iba-iba yung mga personality namin magkakaibigan tapos kahit iba-iba, ‘pag nagsamasama kami makikita mo pa rin na masaya or kung paano makipag-usap yung bawat isa sa amin iba-iba pero nagkakasundo pa rin kami and all.

“Naghahanap ng time or pag may time na biglaan naiintindihan naman nila na pag naginvite ako punta naman sila lahat kasi alam naman nila na minsan lang yun and of course I make time for them also na bina-balance ko din yung work life ko sa social life ko,” she shared.

Kath said it also helps that their circle of friends are connected so it’s easier to hang out together as one group. “Si Arisse is with Pat Sugui na best friend ni DJ (Daniel Padilla) so yung mga common friends din namin and pag nagsama-sama yung mga boys and girls masaya kasi nga magkakasundo na sila lahat nila Khalil Ramos, sina Marco Gumabao,” she ended.

s their way of saying "thank you" to the solid viewers of their show, longest running musical variety show ASAP 20 brought a different kind of entertainment, for the first time, at the Alonte Sports Arena in Binan, Laguna.

The live Sunday show was attended by some of the biggest Kapamilya stars like Piolo Pascual, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Maja Salvador, Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, Shaina Magdayao, Rayver Cruz, Enchong Dee, among others.

The show was also graced by several Kapamilya singers like Zsa Zsa Padilla, Martin Nievera, Erik Santos, Jed Madela, Vina Morales, Morrissette, Klarisse de Guzman, as well as Arnel Pineda, Jobit Baldivino, Rico Blanco, Tutti Caringal, Kean Cipriano, Daryl Ong, and Yeng Constantino.

Love teams Jane Oineza, Jerome Ponce, Nash Aguas, Alexa Ilacad, Loisa Andalio, Joshua Garcia, Erich Gonzales and Daniel Matsunaga were also present. Hosts Alex Gonzaga, John Prats, and Robi Domingo were also in attendance.

Among the highlights of the Sunday’s episode was the opening performance of the Teen King and The King of Gil to the tune of “Mr. Suave.” Their performance was followed by a “Boom Panes” dance number which had Kim, Shaina, Maja, Rayver, Enchong and Gerald in one stage.

The heartthrobs production number got the female fans captivated as Piolo, Rayver, Gerald, and Enchong were joined by Richard Yap, Anjo Damiles, Jerome Ponce, Joshua Garcia, Marco Gumabao, Diego Loyzaga, and Albie Casino.

Real life couple Erich and Daniel got the crowd giggling during their sweet oerformance of “Locked Away” as well as the latter’s response when asked what her birthday wish was.

The sexy dance number of Arci Munoz, Karen Reyes, Aiko Climaco, Jef Gaitan together with Sarah Lahbati was something that also stood out during the entire show.

The performance of the mature loveteams” of Pangako Sa’Yo stars namely Jodi Sta. Maria and Ian Veneracion as well as Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita stars Richard and Vina interestingly got a loud cheer from the audience.

Meanwhile, ASAP once again launched new and exciting things during its Sunday episode.

Among them was trending dance partners Maja and Enrique’s sizzling how and new dance steps to the tune of the new song “Hit The Quan.”

PIOLO PASCUAL Actor Piolo Pascual called it a blessing to be part of the Kapamilya, Thank You celebration dedicated to the viewers. “It’s just really overwhelming to be part of this celebration and it’s also humbling because we owe it to the people. I am just really blessed to be here today.”

As to what makes him proud to be a Kapamilya, he said that being in the network is the best career decision he has ever made. “Siguro if there’s one thing I got to say about being a Kapamilya is that it’s the best decision I’ve ever made in my career. Choosing the right family to be part of and being with the company that really not just took care of me but also gave me a livelihood and made me become who I am right now.”

JODI STA. MARIA The 2015 Pangako Sa ‘Yo’s Amor Powers said that she has been a Kapamilya for almost 17 years already. “All throughout dun sa panahon na nasa ABS-CBN ako, talagang hindi ako pinabayaan ng station.

olid Pangako Sa ‘Yo fans flocked to the Alonte Sports Arena Carpark in Binan, Laguna despite the heavy rain this Sunday, October 4, for the thanksgiving day of the top-rating primetime series.

Among those who graced the event were Pangako Sa ‘Yo stars JK Labajo, Andrea Brillantes, Grae Fernandez, Vivieka Vivieka, Pamu Pamorada, Sarah Carlos, Jan Marini, Dominique Roque and Diego Loyzaga.

Meanwhile, actors Jodi Sta. Maria and Ian Veneracion, who are playing the iconic roles of ex-lovers Amor Powers and Eduardo Buenavista, made the fans feel kilig while they sang, “Panaginip.”

And, as requested by the crowd, Ian gave Jodi a peck on the cheek.

HOLDS SUCCESSFUL THANKSGIVING DAY

In an interview with PUSH.com.ph, Ian said that he feels shy but flattered that fans also follow his love team with Jodi.

“Natatawa na nahihiya kasi I guess because of my age. Feeling ko alaskado ako kay Kath at kay DJ so ‘yun, pero nakakatuwa, nakakaflatter ‘pag nagugustuhan ng mga tao ‘yung mga scenes namin ‘pag napapanood, maganda ‘yung feedback, nakakaflatter,” he said.

hen plans to make Etiquette for Mistresses into a film were announced a couple of months ago, many immediately went up in arms and raised a ruckus online that we don't need another "kabit movie."

Many presumed that Etiquette for Mistresses would do nothing but "glorify" and "give precedence" to muchscoffed about illicit affairs and paramours.

But, after seeing the Chito Rono-helmed film based on the book written by Jullie Yap-Daza, Push.com.ph noticed that the film actually steered away from the initial stereotyping and generalizations that many made about it. If anything, it became a stark reminder that being a mistress is not something that you would want for yourself.

2. Consequently, being a mistress is never a dead end which no one could escape from.

4. Contrary to popular belief, even some mistresses don’t like being a mistress.

Like what Rule #10 implies “If all else fails, leave him.”

Sure they chose to be in their situations, but it doesn’t mean that being mistress is like their lifelong dream.

Since it is done with full knowledge, being a mistress can also be undone subject by the person’s own volition and willfulness. In short, it is never permanent.

1. Being a mistress never happens by accident, it is always by choice.

This was something that the story identified early on the film which pretty much described the plight of the characters of Kris Aquino, Iza Calzado, Kim Chiu, Claudine Barretto, and Cheena Crab.

Although, it may seem like it, in truth, being a mistress is filled with anxiety and uncertainty, which is what the film showed the entire time.

Rule #8 pretty much sums it up: “Mistresses should be ready to give up Valentine’s Day, Christmas holidays, and his birthday.”

5. Mistresses can possibly redeem themselves and change their ways but a happy ending with your secret lover is not and may never guaranteed.

This is not to say that they cannot find nor deserve to be happy with a different and unattached lover. But, until they decide to leave their lovers, Rule #1 would be their only option: “Mistress is not Mrs. Know your place.”
