Historic Building Re-envisioned for Community Arts Efforts, New Emerging Green Businesses & In Demand Housing PRODUCED BY AN AUTODESK EDUCATIONAL PRODUCT

Washington High School, located on the SE side of Portland, has been void of its intended use since 1981. This project was intended to explore both the development and historic preservation side of re-purposing this building recently deemed a local historic landmark. My main goals were to allow for a mixed, diverse community within the one complex while maintaining the central place of gathering for the neighbourhood, allowing for a more active commercial street, and providing spaces for new emerging businesses to thrive.
