In this module we want to help you learn how to talk about yourself in French, as well as ask questions to find out about others. This will enable you to start having short conversations in French. We will be focussing on French phonics and pronunciation rules as this will help you to pronounce words more accurately and help you begin to work out pronunciation of new words for yourself. It will also help you with your reading, listening and spelling. We also intend, through our Mastery Pathway and Home Learning to equip you with some essential language learning skills, so that you can learn the best ways to help yourself learn a language, including how to memorise language.
We aim to bridge the gaps between students who have never learnt French before and those who have some previous knowledge. Therefore some of the vocabulary covered may be brand new to you and for some who have seen some vocab before it will be an opportunity to revisit and consolidate prior learning or even focus on accuracy of spelling. Our focus on phonics, memorisation of language and language learning skills and habits ensures we are able support all of you to progress!
