TEXAPORE SMOOTHLIGHT 2L
TEXAPORE HYPROOF O3 redefines weather protection. This remarkable fabric can withstand a water column pressure of 40 metres and has an MVTR of 30,000 g/m2/24 h (that’s an amazing 30 kg of moisture vapour per square metre in a 24 hour period!). These incredible values guarantee one thing above all else: an extremely waterproof and at the same time exceptionally breathable jacket, even after years of use.
TEXAPORE AIR represents a quantum leap in wear comfort for weatherproof shell clothing. Instead of hermetic (airtight) waterproofing, the fabric works like a filter: it keeps rain out, but allows air in. This filtering process allows a process of constant air exchange to take place, which in turn supports and enhances the breathability (moisture vapour transmission). The process is accelerated by movement – the more you move, the more air is exchanged and the more breathable the fabric becomes – so the fabric works hardest exactly when you need it most. We call this “dynamic breathability”.
TEXAPORE SMOOTHLIGHT represents the smoother side of weatherproofing. Smooth to the touch and less prone to rustling – thus more comfortable to wear. The matt, fine twill construction conceals a seriously impressive weatherproof spec: the fabric is reliably waterproof and wind resistant, yet delivers excellent breathability and is hard wearing.
TEXAPORE HYPROOF O3 offers a unique combination of waterproofness and breathability. And with the 3-layer construction, the material is also very robust and quite light.
TEXAPORE SMOOTHLIGHT is one of our most widely used weather protection fabrics. The combination of softness, robustness and functionality has continued to gain in popularity. This is because it delivers exactly what outdoor enthusiasts are looking for – full weather protection with enhanced wear comfort.

numerous tiny “hairs” on the surface make this weatherproof shell fabric very robust and give it a natural, almost cotton-like feel. TEXAPORE TASLAN 3L: A very hard wearing 3-layer version of our tried and tested weatherproof shell fabric, TEXAPORE TASLAN 2L. As is usual with 3-layer laminates, the protective mesh lining is laminated directly onto the membrane. TEXAPORE TASLAN STRETCH 2L: This cross stretch (20 % elasticity) version of TEXAPORE TASLAN 2L version with 6 % elastane is used, for instance, for stretch inserts on products that are required to deliver both durability and very good freedom of movement. TEXAPORE TASLITE 2L: The weight-optimised version of TEXAPORE TASLAN 2L has a similar abrasion resistance but is slightly lighter. TEXAPORE TASLITE 2.5L: An additional protective layer on the microporous coating allows this variant of TEXAPORE TASLITE 2L to be used without a lining. This reduces the weight and pack size significantly. Hydrostatic head: 8,000 mm TEXAPORE TWILLSUEDE 2L: A soft and supple weatherproof shell fabric with a fine emerized twill finish. The polyester microfibres give it a very soft and velvety feel. TEXAPORE Z-LINER: A pore-free, high-stretch membrane is laminated to a lightweight, waferthin support fabric and this is then hung as an extra layer between the shell fabric and the inner lining of the garment. This allows us to develop clothing with a very soft feel and a casual drape. Hydrostatic head: 10,000 mm; moisture vapour transmission: 10,000 g/m2/24 h
TEXAPORE AIR O2+ fabrics: The special feature
of these fabrics is the fact that, in addition to the usual waterproof and windproof performance, they are also air permeable. This allows constant air exchange to occur through the fabric, which supports and enhances the conventional moisture vapour transmission through the microporous coating. The more you move, the more air is exchanged and the more breathable the fabric becomes. We call this “dynamic breathability”. Moisture vapour transmission: from 15,000 g/m2/24 h; air permeability: 0.5 l/m2/s; hydrostatic head: 5,000 mm A TEXAPORE AIR O2+ MINIRIP DT 2.5L: Thanks to its matrix of mini-ripstop reinforcement threads, this fabric has sufficient tearstrength in spite of being very light. A special protective polymer layer on the inside of the coating dispenses with the need for the usual protective mesh lining and means the fabric is less prone to adhering to the skin (DT= Dry Touch).
A TEXAPORE AIR O2+ STRETCH 2L: The most signi-
ficant additional attribute of this weatherproof shell fabric is the freedom of movement it provides. The yarns in the fabric have mechanical stretch properties, which gives it a 15 % cross stretch specification. A TEXAPORE AIR O2+ TASLAN 2L: Taslanized yarns with numerous tiny “hairs” on the surface make this weatherproof shell fabric very robust and give it a natural, almost cotton-like feel. TEXAPORE AIR O 3+ 3L: In addition to the usual waterproof and windproof performance, this 3-layer weather protection laminate is also air permeable. This allows constant air exchange to occur through the fabric, which supports and enhances the conventional moisture vapour transmission through the microporous coating. The more you move, the more air is exchanged and the more breathable the fabric becomes. We call this “dynamic breathability”. Moisture vapour transmission from 30,000 g/m2/24 h; air permeability 1.5 l/m²/s; hydrostatic head: 5,000 mm TEXAPORE HYPROOF O3 TASGRID 3L: This 3-layer laminate delivers the highest combined values for waterproofing and breathability currently achievable! This is made possible through the use of a reinforced membrane with special catalytic technology. The ripstop (GRID) construction gives the fabric sufficient tear resistance, while keeping it very light and supple, while taslanized yarns give it a natural, matt look. As is usual with 3-layer laminates, the protective mesh lining is laminated directly onto the membrane. Hydrostatic head: 40,000 mm; moisture vapour transmission: 30,000 g/m2/24 h
TEXAPORE O2: The very waterproof and highly breathable fabrics that comprise this performance level of our proprietary TEXAPORE weather protection technology are most frequently found in our trekking range. The values (hydrostatic head: 20,000 mm, moisture vapour transmission: 15,000-20,000g/m2/24 h) are more than twice as high as those for standardissue TEXAPORE, which means that the higher levels of weather protection required for trekking are matched by the very high level of climate comfort. This is achieved through the use of a hybrid construction consisting of a microporous coating and a pore-free membrane. A TEXAPORE O2 COMFORT 3L: In addition to the customary robustness of a 3-layer laminate, this weatherproof shell fabric delivers a high level of wear comfort, thanks to its soft and smooth outer fabric, and is also relatively light. As is usual with 3-layer laminates, the protective mesh lining is laminated directly onto the membrane.
A TEXAPORE O 2 DENSUS 2L: The extra dense
weave makes this weatherproof shell fabric particularly tough and hard wearing. The fabric also delivers an optimized balance between weight, tearstrength, abrasion resistance and texture. A TEXAPORE O2 EXTREME 2L: This weatherproof shell fabric has extraordinarily high tearstrength and abrasion resistance, is very waterproof and highly breathable. We therefore use it as a reinforce ment fabric at areas of our weatherproof clothing that are particularly prone to wear and tear (e.g. shoulders, waist belt area, elbows and knees). The face fabric is a tough polyamide canvas with a matt appearance and a textile finish. A TEXAPORE O2 TASLITE DT 2.5L: This weatherproof shell fabric is very light and packable. A special protective polymer layer on the inside of the coating dispenses with the need for the usual protective mesh lining and means the fabric is less prone to adhering to the skin (DT= Dry Touch). A TEXAPORE O2 TASLITE 3L: In addition to the customary robustness of a 3-layer laminate, this weatherproof shell fabric has a natural, almost cotton-like feel, thanks to its textured taslan tarns. As is usual with 3-layer laminates, the protective mesh lining is laminated directly onto the membrane.
TEXAPORE O4 EVO STRETCH 2L: This very water-
proof laminate boasts the highest breathability rating of all the TEXAPORE fabrics. An additional attribute is the active stretch comfort. The fabric has two-way stretch properties (lengthways and cross stretch). The exceptional breathability performance is possible because the pore-free membrane benefits from an additional catalytic layer, which accelerates the moisture vapour transmission. Hydrostatic head: 20,000 mm; moisture vapour transmission: 40,000 g/m²/24 h
TROPIC NYLON UV Q.M.C.: A very light and hard
wearing nylon fabric with a high UV protection factor (UPF 30+; meets the AS/NZS 4399: 1996 standard). The Q.M.C. fibres mean it also dries very rapidly and the easy-care crinkled structure is very practical. The taslanized nylon content gives the fabric a cottonlike texture.
