The Empower Center engages students in project-based learning and hands-on, career relevant learning experiences. Through partnerships with business and industry, higher education and our community, students work toward goals that help them reach their college and career objectives. Some of these goals include completing pathways and earning credentials.

P a t h w a y Overview

A pathway is a sequence of 3 or more courses within a specific area of study. Completing a pathway can help a student develop deeper into a possible career field and demonstrate the perseverance that will be required to be successful after graduation. Pathways are available in the following areas. See the online course catalog or your counselor for detailed requirements.

Advanced Academics:

4 credits, including at least one AP, IB, or DE course, within ELA, math, science, or social studies; plus 2 sequential units in one world language.

Fine Arts: 3 credits within a single area of study (dance, music, theatre, or visual arts)

World Language: 3 sequential courses in one language, which may include Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, or dual enrollment.
