Although I am now settled in Graphic Design, my passion for design originally started with Product Design. I continued to develop my love for this industry by studying at Coventry University where I first started to dabble in Graphic Design. It was at this time I quickly came to realise that perhaps I was better suited to a career in Graphics. As a designer, I have a unique drive for innovation and am looking for a position where I can put my expertise to good use. I have extensive experience in Graphic Design and am always looking to broaden my skillset and apply myself to new challenges.

EVERYONE ACTIVE LARGE FORMAT GRAPHICS

#1

These are a selection of artworks I designed during my time at N2 Group. All of these projects were designed for one of the companies most premium clients, Everyone Active. These graphics were created for over 200 centres nationwide and each sign and graphic was specifically designed to the specification and requirements for each EA site.

MERCHANDISE DESIGN

Here are a selection of products and merchandise items that I worked on during my time at N2 Group. I worked on merchandise for both in-house purposes as well as for some of our prestigious clientele including Samaritans, Crisis & NCS. I also designed the initial merchandise proposal after REED re-designed their “In Partnership” and Wellbeing” brands which was approved and pushed through to production.

#2

Below is a selection of merchandise items I have designed for Princes Trust, Samaritans and U3A. The process consisted of a brief coming in from the client with the types of products they were looking for that would be suitable for an event they were hosting, which we could then personalise with their branding. From here our merchandise team would put forward some suggestions for the client to approve. Once we received approval, the design constraints and dimensions would be passed on to the design team where we would put together some concepts for the client to review before proceeding through to production. Products I have designed have included anything from personalised pens to vehicle wraps and everything in between.

Old REED branding

New REED branding

Reed recently underwent a re-brand and came to N2 group in search of some new merchandise designs that would suit the companies new branding. This was a project that I was particularly keen to get involved in due to my product design background. This meant I could combine my two areas of expertise to create some eye catching and brand accurate products that Reed would be proud to showcase. Below is a small sample of the products that I personally designed to fit both the Reed in Partnership and Reed Wellbeing branches.

REED In Partnership & Wellbeing Rebrand

Also while at N2 Group, one of my key responsibilities on a daily basis was to create artworks to a print ready standard. This means checking for any RGB elements, ensuring artworks are set to the correct specifications and PDFs are equipped with bleed and crop marks before being passed onto production. The samples in this section showcase some of the types of artworks I would design and prepare on a daily basis.

PRINT READY ARTWORKING

#3

Designing and preparing artworks for print was a key aspect of my role at N2 Group. Whenever I would take on a project I would always keep the purpose of the artwork at the forefront of my design as this would affect size and where the focal point of the page was. Below is a brief selection of small format artworks I worked on throughout my time at N2 Group, however, I have also worked on large scale artworks such as roller banners and feather flags for world-renowned brands.

Print Ready Artworks

#4

As well as print ready artwork, I am also capable of producing files for digital output. Whilst at N2 Group I was the lead designer for another prestigious client, Hill’s pet food. A project could be anything from website skins for desktop and mobile use, online web banners to company posters and retail POS stands and displays.

HILL’S WEB & PRINT GRAPHICS

Here are a variety of digital assets I designed for Hills during my time at N2 Group. I would work with the Hill’s marketing team on a daily basis producing promotional banners and emailers to help drive consumers to their website. One of the projects I worked on with Hills was the desktop (seen above) and mobile skin which aimed to promote a new deal that had been announced and had to be designed to still be functional even if the user scrolled down the page. Through Hill’s I also gained experience working on animations and GIFs where I have designed multi-stage GIFs to support a monthly campaign that was running.

Hill’s Exhibition Stand

During my time at N2 I was also able to experience working on multiple event exhibition stands. These events help to promote new food bags that had recently been revealed as well as help inform people of the technology behind Hill’s pet food. For these events we would design large wall graphics and stands to the specification provided as well as any support materials needed such as roller banners and leaflets.

This section contains a variety of projects that I worked on during my time as a product designer at a unique kitchenware company called Edge Of Belgravia. At Edge Of Belgravia we innovated using geometric shapes and ergonomic design principles to bring something new and fresh to the kitchen.

EDGE OF INDUSTRIALBELGRAVIADESIGN

#5

The head was designed with the companies hexagon shape in mind, whilst also attempting to reduce the amount of plastic used without affecting functionality. This design allows the user to flip burgers and other similar foods as they usually would and provide a surface area for moving small foods such as mushrooms or onions.

The Edge of Belgravia spatula was a special project for me as it was the first product that I designed entirely by myself that went into production and on sale in late 2019. The idea behind the design was to incorporate the original knife handle which was so successful in Edge of Belgravia’s previous campaigns and combine it with an innovative spatula head.

The Edge Of Belgravia Spatula

Edge of Belgravia Stingray Pan

Another project I worked on was the Stingray Pan set. This was a significant project for the company as it was the first product set that varied from Edge of Belgravia’s usual product type. Before this product the company focused solely on professional standard kitchen knives. This gave me a degree of creative freedom. After discussing with the CEO we decided to go with the hexagon style pan with a variation of the company’s original handle design.

This design was entered into the 2018 International Design Awards and won silver in the Home Interior Products / Kitchen Furniture category.
