Pétale Lush “With Pétale Lush, I wanted to recreate a big and colourful bouquet of spring flowers, the kind of bouquet that looks amazing on your table and makes you truly happy. I developed the most generous and opulent jasmine I could and completely disinhibited it with the help of a bouncy peach. It results in a vivid explosion of vigorous floralcy. My secret to make it irresistible? A bewitching tonka bean and a sensual vanilla to bring a hint of addiction.”

Corrine Cachen Oud Poudré “How to magnify the already most fascinating wood of the oriental kingdom? I met this challenge by carefully picking every single ingredient whose facets could enhance oud wood’s most captivating features. I added white flowers to contrast its dark depth and to bring intense femininity and then, some vanilla and coffee to warm it up even more with some addictive gourmandise.”

Neroli Divine “Clean, heavenly and caressing… that’s my olfactive vision of neroli! I voluntarily brought about the encounter with almond milk to reach the highest level of creaminess. Now let’s push the delight even more… I’m drawing a mouth-watering effect with a fleshy pear combined to a tonka bean to emphasize this milky feeling.

Iris Blanc “I have always been impressed by the complexity of iris, I could play with it endlessly!

Here, I first pictured in my mind a white iris and worked this fragrance toward it. I first surrounded it with a voluptuous note of orange blossom to give a round, pure and feminine sensation. I then reinforced its unique woody character with some patchouli, for the elegance, and finally shaded it with the decadent sweetness of praline and vanilla.”

For the thousands of years perfumers have practiced their art, nature has been both their inspiration and the source of their materials. Now more than ever in the world of fragrance, we are seeing an increase in scents sourced from natural origins - here we explore the trend and what it means for the PURE&CO collection.

What is the difference between a synthetic fragrance and a natural fragrance?

Synthetic fragrances contain chemicals that are not of a natural origin while natural fragrances contain ingredients only from a natural origin: basically a mixture of essential oils.

PURE&CO fragrances are made with 99.5% ingredients of natural origin The remaining 0.5% is made up of antioxidants to stabilize the smell of the perfume.

Are synthetic fragrances bad for the skin?

Not all synthetic fragrances are bad and many of them contain essential oils. It is important to mention that synthetic fragrance does not necessarily cause more allergic reactions than natural fragrance. Both of them contain ingredients called allergens – substances that cause allergies.

How are natural fragrance oils made?

Natural fragrance oils are derived from raw materials using distillation, expression or extraction processes.

Why should I choose a fragrance with ingredients from natural origin?

With transparency in the products we use on our bodies being more important than ever, making the choice to know exactly where the ingredients in your fragrance are sourced from is important for some.
