A Beginner’s Guide to Aquaponics System in London – Hyjo _________________________________________________ https://hyjo.co.uk/
What is Aquaponics? It’s a hybrid system that combines aquaculture (raising aquatic animals such as fish) and hydroponics (growing plants in water without soil). The wastewater from a fish tank is used to irrigate plants that are produced on-site in this arrangement. The plants act as natural filters, removing impurities from the water as it passes through. The cleansed water is then returned to the fish container, continuing the cycle. In essence, both the fish and the plants will benefit, and no water will be wasted.
And how does it work? Aquaculture is the practice of raising the number of fish in a given area for the purpose of food production or decoration. The greater the number of fish, the greater the amount of waste that may be contained in the water. The process of growing plants in a water solvent or without garden soil is known as hydroponics.
