Ryu Won: A South Korean Actress and Famous for the Roles in the Series Ryu was born on November 8, 1997, in Haeundae, Busan, South Korea. When she was in 3rd grade, her family stayed in Busan itself. Then they migrated to the US. Her parents along with her and brother stayed there for eight years. Later, her father accompanied her when she decided to move back to South Korea. She has gone to the local school in Busan till her third grade and then continued with her studies in the US itself. Ryu is a professional actress of South Korea who became famous for her roles in South Korean TV dramas especially in the role of Yoon So Hee in the disaster thriller series named “Missing 9”. Ryu participated in “Alice: Crack of Season” that is a short film about an LGTBQ unrequited love that has done in high school that was released on YouTube in the year 2016. Ryu Won participated in a teen pageant and took home the title when she was just 17 years old and studying in high school in the US. This made the casting director of JYP Entertainment take the interest in her talent. One of the largest entertainment agencies in South Korea which are responsible to establish the careers of many successful artists consisting K-Pop singers, RAIN, Wonder Girls, TWICE, as well as Stray Kids. Additionally., it includes actors like Suzy Bae, Shin Yeun, Sohee, and Kim Ye-won. Ryu Won was firstly hesitant as she was more interested in Fashion Design and the Arts. Her father was very supportive of her and encouraged her to try every offer before rejecting it. She returned to South Korea supported by her father and signed up with JYP Entertainment. She attended various workshops under the name of a talent agency as she was passionate about the natural talent in acting. After completing her acting lessons, JYP Entertainment gave her a chance to act on some roles, and in the year 2016, she was selected for the role of Choi Ha-roo in one of the popular drama TV series “Uncontrollably Fond” that was aired on the KBS network from July to September along with Kim Woo Bin and Suzy Bae.
