Turangawaewae or a place to stand is a project for Marae Melbourne. A marae is considered as sacred civic structure for Maori people. As it never has existed outside New Zealand, this project is meant to be used by all, not belong to specific iwi or tribe. Series of testing and iterations were made - and later combined - to produce a congregated idea of what marae could be in 'iwi-less' context
