“The Raven” is a poem that tells the story of a man who is visited by a talking raven. The poem is written by Edgar Allan Poe, The man is grieving the loff of his lover, Lonore, and he becomes increasingly obsessed and distraight as the reven’s reapeated word “Nevermore” reminds him of his loss. The poem explores themes of grief, despair, and the haunting nature of memories. It’s a dark and melancholic piece of poetry that has captivated reader with its mysterious and eerie atmosphere.

This project was a whole pakage of learning how to model in sketchup, drafting in Layout, and working with lighting and rendering in Vray.

CONCEPT

This endeavor involved the meticulous recreation of the environment depicted in the poem 'The Raven.' The thematic essence of my set design was profoundly influenced by notions of darkness and the somber ambience of midnight dreariness. I deliberately emphasized the utilization of natural illumination over artificial light sources.

The architectural design of the space is rooted in the Gothic style, wherein elements characteristic of this genre are manifested through the incorporation of intricate wallpapers, ornamental embellishments, window treatments, doors, and assorted furnishings. These components collectively evoke the distinctive aesthetics associated with the Gothic architectural tradition
