01. Discover Your Rituals.

What activities make you feel good and keep you motivated? Do them more. Personalize them and keep them simple It doesn't have to be complex to be effective Your daily behaviors impact your overall wellbeing. You can create rituals that uplift your mind, body, and spirit by adding nourishing practices to your routine.

02. Gather Your Foods.

Food is more than just fuel. It can also impact our mental and emotional well-being too. Certain foods can be grounding, comforting, and energizing. It may be helpful to keep those things on hand. Whether it's your fave snack or a nourishing meal, food can be a helpful tool to fend off seasonal blues.

03. Enjoy Your Movement.

Joyful movement can be invigorating! It can calm you and uplift you simultaneously. When you engage in activity, you may release stress. You may also get your blood and brain moving too. Movement can provide an energetic shift to help boost your mood. Forget the punishment. Focus on the fun. This can be a powerful tool for flourishing in the Fall!

04. Curate Your Comfort.

As the weather changes, you may be spending more time inside. You might experience negative moods because of the increased confinement. Creating a cozy environment can ease the transition. Make your home as comfy as possible. Gather items that give you "big hug" energy and have them around. Give yourself tools that soothe your mind, body, and spirit.

05. Amp Up Your Lighting.

When sun vacations for the Fall, we get fewer daylight hours Science says that decreased light influences your sleep, energy, and mood It can leave you feeling sad and dreary. Increasing the light in your home can thwart some of that. Changing your bulbs can help. Bright light at the blue end of the spectrum brings feelings of alertness. Fill your spaces with light to help you flourish!

06. Add In Your Aroma.

Fragrances can help you flourish too. Your sense of smell is directly connected to your memory, cognition, and mood. Knowing this, you can choose aromas with intention based on how you want to feel. Aromas can support your needs, whether it's calm, clarity, motivation, or comfort. Include fragrance with your other tools for a layered effect enveloping you joyfully!

07. Make Nature Your Roomate.

If you're missing the beauty of the outdoors, bring nature inside! Whether it's plants, flowers, or water features, it helps to have living energy around you. Nurturing and connecting with nature in your home can be grounding or uplifting. Watching natural things grow and flourish can inspire you to do the same.

08. Document Your Feelings.

Sometimes your mind gets crowded, leading to stress and being overwhelmed. Journaling may help you get it out. Expressing your feelings through written or vocal recording can alleviate sadness and anxiety. A journaling practice may give you the release you need for clarity, profound gratitude, and elevated mood.

09. Connect With Your Crew.

Community care is just as critical as self-care. Connecting with others can provide the support and comfort you need to navigate life. Community connection also enables you to experience reciprocity by giving to others. When you engage in healthy social exchange, it supports your overall well-being.

10. Nourish Your Body.

Fall is a great time to deepen your connection with your body. While life is slower and things are quieter, you can focus more on your body relationship. Examine whether your life practices still align with your needs. Explore new ways to embrace body acceptance. Expand your tools for body peace. Your body is the home of your soul. Curate comfort and joy there too!

HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE TO GET YOUR BEST RESULTS

Now that you have some tools and practices to help you flourish in the Fall, the essential thing is incorporating them into your life. Tools cannot be practical if you don't use them

When it comes to implementing new things, it helps to approach them with curiosity and compassion. Putting pressure on yourself or having high expectations can contribute to anxiety and stress. Perfection, judgment, and shame are all things that you want to stay away from to experience healing and joy.

Think of this as part of your wellness journey. Take your time and give yourself space to embrace new experiences. Don't overstimulate or overwhelm yourself by trying everything all at once. It may be helpful to try one new thing at a time so that you can see the actual effects on your wellbeing.

Release the need for immediate change or fast results. Diet culture programs us to take that approach. Embrace a new perspective rooted in patience and love.
