Meet IVY, the ivybridge first Mystery Shopper This is Ivy, a mother and grandmother from Ivybridge, who has kindly agreed to be our Mystery Shopper. She’s a regular user of the shops and businesses in the town and this month she’s on a mission to find a particular gift for members of her family.

Her granddaughter and grandson are each off on holiday to Europe after finishing their ‘A’ levels. Ivy is off to scour the Ivybridge shops to find a couple of suitable purses or wallets for them them to take with them.

Ivybridge Flower Club was formed nearly fifty years ago and is still going strong with approximately fifty members meeting every month. Our venue for the last couple of years has been the Watermark, centred as it is in Ivybridge with plenty of parking.

We meet on the second Tuesday of every month, except August, at 7.30 pm. Our meetings are mostly demonstrations by local or national demonstrators and florists, and each evening is completed with a raffle of the arrangements and a number of very happy people leave with a variety of gorgeous flowers!

We also have occasional in-house workshops, and flower classes are held from time to time. Fund-raising events such as the annual garden party in the summer and a quiz night in the winter help to boost funds as well as being popular social events in themselves.

We are a friendly group which welcomes new members. We invite other local clubs when we host a National Demonstrator and are invited in return to their clubs . This is a great way of meeting other like-minded people and building social networks.

If you like flowers and would like to meet other people, come along and see what we have to offer. You will be assured of a warm welcome.

3rd Ivybridge Scout Group is currently looking for Cub Leaders and Scout Leaders to assist with section evenings. Even if you can only give 1hr per week or 1hr per month then we are interested.
