A Message From The Founder One of my favorite expressions is, “Attitude is everything”. It applies equally well in life as it does in business and you could say that it applies to travel as well.

Of course, the attitude of the travel is greatly impacted by the

port in the Dominican Republic and second busiest airport in the Caribbean. Adding to the conven-

attitude of those in the industry that assist in various phases of the journey, from the luggage handlers to the front desk staff, and especially the agents that put the whole trip together. At IVI DMC², a good attitude is our culture. Not only wearing an outward smile, but genuinely enjoying our jobs and sharing that enjoyment with our coworkers, suppliers, and clients is the starting point of our success. 3

ience of private and executive visitors using the airport’s National, VIP, and FBO terminals, is a breeze. It is easy to see why PUJ is the fastest growing airport in the Caribbean. This leading airport has convenient nonstop flights arriving daily from the world over. Located less than 10 minutes away from Puntacana Resort & Club, PUJ is craftily designed to ensure that the guest experience is undisturbed from air traffic noise. Welcome to our Punta Cana International Airport and the beautiful Dominican Republic!

After 28 years in business, we are proud of the relationships we have forged with thousands of satisfied customers, and we invite you to enjoy the pleasure of doing business with us. You have my commitment that our great attitude will rub off on you as well. Sincerely, Jose Manuel GARCIA, CDS

The Dominican Republic - Caribbean Jewel

Where can you get great weather all year, breath-taking scenery, modern cities, and hundreds of years of history all in one convenient location? In the DR, that’s where! Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Tourism recently launched a marketing campaign with the slogan “Dominican Republic Has It All”, and it is easy to see why this phrase is so fitting. From Santo Domingo, the most active metropolis in the Caribbean, to unspoiled National Parks, Dominican Republic has become the vacation playground for millions of vacationers and business travelers from all over the world. With 8 distinct touristic regions, each with signature attractions, spectacular scenery and a nearby International Airport, it is no wonder that Dominican Republic is the most visited destination in the Caribbean.

clude Pico Duarte, the highest mountain peak in the Caribbean, and Lake Enriquillo, the largest lake to be found in the Caribbean as well. The unspoiled Rincon Beach is on the “Top 20” list of even the most finicky beachgoer. A little closer to civilization, Santo Domingo’s Colonial zone features historical treasures such as the first fortress, the first castle, and the first cathedral in all of the Americas. This area has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Aside from its beauty, culture, and natural resources, Dominican Republic is also able to flex its economic muscles. Being the largest economy in all of Central America and the Caribbean, DR has an established infrastructure for tourism and business. 5star hotels dot the coast and have a major presence in the metropolis of Santo Domingo. Dominican Republic was one of the first countries in the Caribbean to capitalize on the Meetings and Incentives Industry, and has everything ready for your next conference or incentive trip. hotels with large meeting areas, and there are now many convention spaces with the capacity for over 1000 people. Among them are the National Theatre (1,800), Dominican Fiesta (1,100), and the Hard Rock Hotel Convention Center (3,900). After work, the dining, nightlife and activities are some of the best in all of the Caribbean. The wide variety of ethnic groups that make their home in Dominican Republic offer the finest cuisine from their native lands, including Spain, the Middle East, Africa, neighboring Caribbean nations and of course, Taino, the indigenous people of Dominican Republic. In the popular tourist areas and large cities, a variety of nightlife abounds including theaters, bars and cafes, concerts, dancing, and casino gambling. A host of daytime activities are also available. Avid

And there is no limit to the water activities that you can choose from. Wreck diving in the Caribbean waters is a fascinating look into the past. Topside you can enjoy boating, parasailing, fishing, whale watching, and of course, beautiful sandy beaches. On land, you can take in the parks, aquariums, waterfalls, ancient cave systems, shopping and some of the world’s most competitive baseball. There are many options for getting around the island. For those intent on covering the island from end to end, short flights can take you to any corner of the country in under an

hour. Land transport is also a convenient option, with car rentals available, and a non stop parade of buses that can take you to any place of interest right from your hotel. The cities of Santo Domingo, Samana, and La Romana are each major

Puerto Morelos - Cancun’s Little Sister is Growing Up slower rate of growth, now hosting some 10,000 permanent residents. This slow expansion has paid major dividends for the community, allowing it to retain its “small town feel”, while having easy access to all the activities, infrastructure and convenience of Cancun.

Once a sleepy fishing village on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, Puerto Morelos’ neighbor to the north, Cancun, has sparked a frenzy of activity and opened the doors to a whole new world of options. When the first hotels began to open in Cancun in the 1970’s, Puerto Morelos had a population of only a few hundred people. In the 40 years that have elapsed, Cancun’s population has grown by over 700,000 people, but Puerto Morelos has maintained a

High Speed Train for Cancun and the Yucatan Peninsula

Strategically located at the mouth of the Mayan Riviera, Puerto Morelos has become a sought-after destination for operators of 5-star hotels and luxury resorts. Little by little, this quiet beach town has started to put up some impressive numbers. By the end of 2014, an additional 2,950 hotel rooms are expected to open, bring the total number to nearly 15,000 rooms. (By comparison, Cancun now has approximately 32,000 rooms.) da to the Mayan Riviera by way of Chichen Itza, officials have decided that Cancun is just too big to overlook. The joint project will be the first rail project in Mexico since the state run National Railways was shut down in the 1990’s. The high-speed trains are expected to carry 400 passengers and reach speeds of up to 110 miles per hour. A trip from Merida to Cancun would take under 2 hours. The project is expected to cost upwards of $1.2 billion USD and is expected to be completed over the next 5 years.

And we have arranged a presentation of belly dancers for a group from Egypt. Last minute requests always arise, and we make them happen. CQ: What suggestions do you have for clients who are considering a wedding in Cancun and the Riviera Maya? PR: We highly recommend this destination to our customers. Travel Secret: Keep Things in Perspective

“Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” - Abraham Lincoln

President Theodore Roosevelt and naturalist William Beebe had a ritual they would do each night on their after-dinner walks together. One of them would look at the stars and declare: “That is the spiral Galaxy of Andromeda, which is as large as our Milky Way. It is one of a hundred million galaxies and 750,000 light years away. It consists of one-hundred billion suns, each larger than our sun.” Then there was silence. Finally, one of them would say, “Now I think we are small enough. Let’s go to bed.” Keep things in perspective. Your delay or canceled flight may seem like the most important

thing in the world to you. Yet, in the big picture, it is only a small occurrence in your life. You would be a fortunate person, indeed, if all your problems involved only a delay of a few hours… make the best of it. - (taken from page 17)
