Let’s dive right in. How and where did it all start for Moduleo? Cindy: “Well, in 2022 we celebrated our tenth birthday, so we’ve been around for quite a while now. We were the first to produce luxury vinyl tiles Cindy Van Moorleghem

on European soil. The funny thing about vinyl is that it’s such an interesting material, even though a lot of people don’t necessarily think of it that way. For one, it’s one of the most durable materials out there.

Cindy: “We mixed and matched samples from our Roots collection with different types of fabrics, minerals, plants, furniture, and art until everything felt just right.”

Elise: “We also noticed the rise of tactility in materials. People want to feel things again. The fact that we’re living in an increasingly digital world, where everything takes place on a flat screen, only 8

Cindy: “We reconnected with ourselves too. People got thinking.

What’s my identity? How can I express myself? In my clothing.

In my home. They want their interior to match their own unique personality and have a bigger say in creating it too. And that freedom to be who you are and express it in

Elise: “But we don’t just want to offer them the floors to do so, we want to inspire them too.

Show them what’s possible and trigger their imagination. That’s why we browsed the world of design, architecture, art and even fashion to curate some of the most exciting new trends, materials, patterns, colours and finishes. And we brought them together into six captivating interior themes.”

Powered by the wind A third of the energy that powers our factory comes from wind turbines. And that’s a lot. It equals the energy of more than 20 000 households. And our search for new green energy sources continues.

Cooled down by the river When it comes to smart green solutions, we simply go with the flow. The river Scheldt’s flow, to be specific.

We use an innovative closed circuit that pumps river water and cools down the factory machines. That’s how we save a maximum amount of energy.

Recycled materials Our floors are fully recyclable and made with recycled materials of verified origin. Next to that, we only work with eco-friendly packaging solutions. And simply use less of it altogether.

Minimal waste Anything we don’t use, we reuse. PVC waste from the production process always comes back to the circuit.

Clean inks and coatings To print our patterns and designs, we only use Reach approved raw materials and water-based instead of solvent-based ink. The same goes for the protective layer. This way, the air in your home stays clean and fresh. And it helps us cut down the overall carbon footprint of our products.

To us, sustainability starts off with making our floors in Belgium. So we can keep a close eye on the production process and have full control over all raw materials.

But that’s only the beginning of the story. We are taking concrete actions to reduce our environmental impact by 2040. No empty statements, we just take action based on science-based facts to deliver our sustainability promise.
