It’s summer season, and it’s likely that you’re craving some time away from the hustle and bustle of life. Maybe it’s time to take a break from all of the stress and go on a beach vacation. America has a lot of great beaches worth checking out, especially if you’re located on the west coast. Not sure which one to go to? Don’t worry, this blog’s got you covered.

Newport, Oregon The city of Newport, Oregon, has a population of just over 10,000. It’s a laid-back beach town that’s known for its beautiful scenery and various attractions. One of these is the Yaquina Head Lighthouse, which is the tallest lighthouse in Oregon and has been featured in various movies.

In addition to being a beautiful location, Newport’s beaches are also known for their beautiful scenery.

During the spring and fall, you can often spot orcas and grey whales moving through the area. If you’re looking for something a bit different, you can also see some interesting colored agates that are made from various types of rocks.

Carmel-by-the-Sea, California The charming town of Carmel-by-the-Sea is often referred to as simply “Carmel.” It’s a beautiful location that offers a variety of great restaurants and gardens. Aside from being an art center, this town is also known for its beautiful coastline and various attractions. A number of poets and writers live in the area, and it’s easy to see the sights by foot. The city’s population of over 3,700 makes it a great place to explore.

Crescent City, California This small city in Del Norte County is referred to as Crescent Beach, named after its crescent-shaped coastline. It’s also known for its giant redwoods and is home to a lighthouse that’s on the National Register of Historic Places. Other popular beaches in the area include Kellogg, Point St. George, and Enderts Beach. Be sure to check out the SkyTrail Gondolas a short drive from the town if you went to get an aerial view of the Pacific Ocean, a sight you’ll likely never forget.

Port Townshend, Washington Situated in Washington State’s Quimper Peninsula, Port Townsend is known for its Victorian-era buildings and is also known for its safe harbor. At the turn of the century, it was reported that the city might be the largest harbor on the west coast of the United States.

Aside from being a beach town, Port Townsend is also known for its various attractions. One of these is Fort Worden State Park, which is an old army base that’s surrounded by beautiful mountains. There is also an artistic side to Port Townsend, with monthly art walks and poetry presses such as the Copper Canyon Press.
