after graduating, i considered some options about what i want to do next, visual merchandising is the one that intrigued me the most! I grew even more curious during my internship as a visual merchandiser intern, where i learn about how design implementations meet marketing. for me, it is like mini-architecture, where human interaction is still the main focus.
here are my works that involve visual merchandising principles during the design process.

color pallete analysis
Sunset Mates is a concept store located in Yogyakarta. The challenge was to adjust an existing store to better fit the client’s vision. The keywords for the concept are chic, youthful, colorful, light, and pastel. The client wanted new displays as well as more suitable color pallete for the store as she plans to renovate the store to add fitting room and more storage.
In the process of doing this project, I learned the basics of visual merchandising!

BLP Beauty is one of Indonesia’s leading local beauty brand. During the BLPXperience program, I learn so much about Visual Merchandising as a Visual merchandiser Intern. I get to participate and get hands-on experience as a visual merchandiser. Here, I learn about not only designing, but also about design implementation, production, and keeping up with a fast paced industry. As an intern, I’m mostly responsible for POP designs, and help with product launching displays.

Sukhakala is a photobooth chain based in Bandung.
The competition task is to design a photobooth themed “vintage”. While the usual design implementation for such theme might involve wooden surfaces, sephia effects and old vintage, I wanted to take a different approach to it from a new direction.
The concept I chose for the photobooth is “Vending Machine of the Past” , which I took the appeal of old vending machines and thought it would be interesting to see a vending machine and finding it to be a photobooth machine.
I combine the vending machine with display og 90’s snacks and drinks to further push the vintage vibe.
While I didn’t win the competition, it was fun to challenge myself to concept and designed the whole thing within 24 hours.

In an era where people can work from truly anywhere around the world, with the trend of WFA - Work from Anywhere becoming more popular (and preferred!), traditional working offices is no longer a vital necessity, more so for new start-ups and businesses. Offices are a lot of hassle and commitment, and they’re expensive. Co-working spaces are the game-changer where not only do people can work without needing an office, but also build a connection outside of their work bubble.

In the process of doing this project, I learned how to work better in a team and how to concept my creations.

if I had a nickel for every time I created a cute handwritten typeface, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's really amazing that it happened twice! Definitely more to go!
