Last year, over 15,000 letters and cards were collected for deployed men and women. The American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes Inc. are teaming up to send holiday cards to members of the military and their families in the United States and around the world. From Tuesday, November 11 until Wednesday, December 10, the public is invited to send holiday cards with their message of thanks and cheer to a special post office box. The cards will then be screened and sorted before being delivered to military bases, veteran’s hospitals, and military hospitals during the holidays. Volunteers are needed to join or create sorting parties at the Indianapolis Chapter. Sorting parties will be hosted at this chapter on: November 21, December 6, December 13, and December 20. Volunteers may also schedule additional sorting parties any time during the work week between the dates of November 23 and December 23.
