Jaguar Camp Our traditional summer day camp experience, Jaguar Camp offers a variety of ageappropriate activities each day for your child to promote growth, development, and fun through sports and fitness, arts and crafts, reading, and STEM based games.

Each camper will receive swim lessons Monday through Thursday at no extra charge. Fun Fridays will include a field trip or special guest each week.

Camp hours are 9:00am-3:30pm M-F. Before and after care is included at no extra cost, and begins at 7:30am and ends at 5:30pm.

Enrichment Camps Do you enjoy the basics of traditional camp, but want a little extra programming in your camper's day? Whether you're looking for STEM activities, art, sports, or martial arts, we have a variety of enrichment camps for you.

Enrichment programming takes place in the first half of your camper's day beginning at 9:15am, then they rejoin the main camp for lunch, afternoon swim lessons, games, and more.

Price includes full day Jaguar Camp + Enrichment Camp!

You do not need to register for both separately.

Music Technology Academy Pirate Camp Safe Sitter Silly Hearts Yoga Survivor Camp

Amazing Athletes Amazing Athletes of Central Indiana uses sports as a catalyst to meet the needs of the whole child through non-competitive, sports-based fitness camps designed to advance each child’s individual motor-skills and inspire future participation in physical activity. Introduction, skill development, fitness and fun are key to bringing multiple sports related activities to each week of camp. Bricks in Motion The pace is fast and the action never stops at our LEGO® summer camp, with plenty of games and play time. We've designed a camp structure that combines technical, STEMfocused model building with free-play sessions that encourages to unlock imaginations!

Bricks In Motion helps foster an understanding of forces, motion, and interactions by providing easy hands-on learning experiences without the need of technology. We provide all the supplies and equipment needed to keep the interaction and discovery flowing.

Craft-A-Palooza Does your camper love to create? Join us for Craft-APalooza! Led by a Herron School of Art + Design student, we have one week of our new craft enrichment for each age group. Each week is focused on age-appropriate crafts to keep them engaged and entertained. Your camper will walk away with an armful of creations, learned techniques, and fun memories!

Crouching Tigers At the Crouching Tigers LEADERSHIP camp, students will learn fundamental martial arts and self defense techniques as well as life skills such as confidence and respect. Over the course of the week, students will complete activities in both character development and martial arts while making friends and learning to work within a team. The final hour of camp will include a board breaking ceremony and a chance for students to show off what they have learned.

Program curriculum will be repeated each week.

Herron Art Camp This art enrichment through the Herron School of Art + Design will provide campers with the chance to explore a variety of two and three-dimensional media, contemporary artists, and art supply experiments!

Campers can look forward to paint splatters, pendulums that paint with gravity, and watercolor magic. 3-D worlds will be created using 3-D printed forms, found objects, and sustainable materials. Each day, campers will focus on a different experience or project. On Friday, campers will create their own art gallery in Herron, featuring work they created during the week.

Junior Chef Campers will become chefs in training for the week, learning kitchen basics such as cutting techniques, mixing, the difference between cooking and baking, reading recipes, understanding measurements, kitchen safety, nutrition, and more. Participants will experience scratch cooking and eat the food they’ve learned to prepare.

All necessary equipment is provided by Chartwells, including age-appropriate knives, cutting boards, and utensils.

Music Technology Academy In partnership with the Music & Arts Technology department through the Purdue School of Engineering & Technology, students will explore the connections between music and coding using Scratch and Soundtrap.

Students will "play with sound" by creating songs, adding sound effects to animations, and creating short podcasts.

Students will also learn how to code musical ideas and use controllers to perform their pieces.

Pirate Camp As students transform into pirates, they work together to navigate the high seas. Through STEM-focused science experiments, hands-on engineering design activities, and engaging group discussions, students experience just how much science and engineering it takes to be a pirate.

Each day begins with a story that sets the scene and engages the students' senses, curiosity, and critical thinking. Just like real pirates, students must work together with their crew to accomplish challenging tasks such as building catapults, tying knots, making maps, and following them to hidden treasure!

Adventure and treasure awaits your camper - by the end of Pirate Camp, they'll be singing, Yo ho ho, it’s a pirate’s life for me!

SafeSitter Safe Sitter® is designed to prepare students to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The Instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises.

Safety Skills Students learn how to prevent unsafe situations and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies.

Child Care Skills Students learn tips to manage behavior that will help them stay in control of themselves and the children in their care. Students also learn the ages and stages of child development, as well as practice diapering.

First Aid & Rescue Skills Learning skills such as choking rescue and CPR is often students’ favorite part of the class. Students also learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses. (CPR included in Safe Sitter® Essentials with CPR and Safe Sitter® Expanded.)

Life & Business Skills The ability to screen jobs, discuss fees, and greet employers will set students up for success now and in the future. Students practice these skills through various role plays.

Please note this enrichment will meet on June 18th, 20th, and 21st only. Campers enrolled will be with Jaguar Camp on Monday, June 17th. Our camp is closed Wednesday, June 19th.

Silly Hearts Yoga Join Silly Hearts Yoga for Kids for a week of fun as we explore yoga poses and mindfulness exercises through art and games! We will learn new yoga postures each day along with a new yoga game and art project daily. We will get our energy moving as we learn games including, Night at the Museum (yoga version), Go-Stop-Back to Back, Freeze Yoga, and more! And then we will slow things down with art projects including, nature mandalas, zen coloring, and personalized yoga mats. There is no previous yoga experience needed to enjoy this camp. All are welcome to participate and receive the joys and benefits of yoga!

Survivor Camp Lightning strikes, dead car batteries and losing your map emergencies can happen at any time! While the odds of being lost or stranded outdoors are pretty low, knowing what to do in an emergency is important. As survivalists, students learn exactly what to do in an emergency through the team-based study of real-world survival skills.

From investigating the utility of tools to working through challenging situations, over this 12-day camp, learners use ingenuity to gain crucial skills such as knot tying, water purification and compass navigation. Bringing STEM to the great outdoors, instructors love the hands-on, interactive and collaborative curriculum. With each thrilling activity, students gather their senses, put their new skills to the test and conquer every challenge Mother Nature throws their way!

Camp Policies Refund/Cancellation Policy All cancellation/refund requests must be submitted through the Jaguar Summer Day Camp Request Form A full refund will be issued if the department cancels any camp session A full refund, minus a $20 service fee per camp week per participant, will be issued if requested at least 14 days prior to the start of the camp session Cancellation requests made within 7 to 13 days prior to the start of a camp session will receive a 50% refund, minus a $20 service fee per camp week per participant Jaguar Summer Day Camp will not issue any refunds for requests made with less than 7 days prior to the start of a camp session Camp sessions will not be prorated for vacations or illness

Transfer Policy A transfer from one camp program to another will depend on the spots available in the desired program. If the camp is at capacity, a transfer will not be permitted. Transfer requests must be completed at least 7 days prior to the start of the desired camp. If there is a price difference between the two camps, the balance must be paid in full prior to the start of the camp. Please email jagcamps@iupui.edu to request your transfer.

Waitlist Policy If a camp is full, you can join the waitlist. There is no fee associated with the waitlist. If a spot opens up in the desired camp, the parent/guardian at the top of the waitlist will be contacted. The parent/guardian will have 24 hours to pay in full for the desired camp. If payment is not received, the next parent/guardian on the waitlist will be contacted about the opening.

Camp Policies Age Policy The majority of our camps are for 5 to 12 years of age. Some camps have an age restriction based on the enrichment. Campers must be the age required by the start date of the desired camp.

Camper Restroom Expectations Jaguar Summer Day Camp's expectation is that all campers can take care of their own restroom needs.

Field Trips Field trips are weather permitting and subject to change without advance notice.

Alternative rainy day activities will be facilitated should the field trip be cancelled.
