The Inktober Prompts

Inktober ends, NaNoWriMo begins MCKENZIE KLINE For the whole month of October, the newest art teacher, Ms. Luft, challenged her students to participate in the challenge called InkTober. For each day students were instructed to draw a picture correlating to the word for that day. Students who participated earn bonus points. For the whole month of November, Ms. Russell’s creative writing class is participating in NaNoWriMo, which stands for National Novel Writing Month. Each student has set a personal word count goal to meet by the end of the month to help create their novel. To encourage her students, Ms. Russell set up a bar graph to keep track of student’s achievements weekly. To be published by NaNoWriMo, your completed novel must have a minimum of 50,000 words. Ms. Russell and her creative writing class encourage other writers who aren’t in the class to participate as well.

Oley Valley Confirmed Drug Free ZAIN WEGMAN

On November 5, 2019, Central Berks Police Department conducted a search for drugs on Oley Valley High School. After a thorough search of the school by both police officers and drug detecting dogs, the authorities found no trace of drugs at the Oley Valley High School. The lockdown took more than an hour, and rooms were selected at random to have the students’ bags searched. But in the end, no drugs were found. There was one false alarm when a police dog detected something in a locker, but there were evidently no drugs. Oley Valley High School is a certified drug-free zone, and hopefully it will stay this way in the future.
