REDUCING BURDEN

The Dynamic Weight Distribution (DWD) system enables weight to be transferred between the shoulders and the hips, improving comfort and agility.

The soldier on-the-move is able to vary the load placed through the spine, while maintaining correct stride and flexibility of the body.

Extensive field trials have shown the DWD to reduce the burden on a soldier during long hauls, improving the ability to adapt to the mission and terrain.

SCALABLE TO THREAT

Customizing the VIRTUS system for the mission and threat level in minimal time and effort is the key for being prepared. The SOURCE Scalable Tactical Vest (STV) provides the means to enable the soldier to scale their protection up or down appropriate to the prevailing threat levels and requirements of the mission.

The Dynamic Weight Distribution (DWD) System enables you to control how weight is transferred from your shoulders to your hips and vice versa while on-the-move. With the DWD system you decide where weight is carried.

SOURCE Patented Quick Release

Emergency quick release of the vest with one hand in a single motion. When released, the vest remains in one piece and can quickly be reassembled in less than15 seconds. The SQR weighs only 20gr and does not effect comfort of vest.

Ballistic protection against low velocity frag threats

TIER-1 BALLISTIC UNDERWEAR

The first ever Tier-1 Ballistic Underwear (BU) with 360 degree protection to the user pelvis and upper leg regions. The entire underwear is made of DyneemaKnitTM a 2-way stretch fabric made of DyneemaTM and LycraTM technical fibers.

DyneemaR, the world’s strongest fiber embedded in this unique fabric structure, will stop fragmentation threats caused by IED’s (fragments flying at a speed of 200 m/s).

LycraR embedded in this unique fabric structure provides a tight fit which helps reduce muscles fatigue. This air permeable two-way stretch fabric feels cool, soft and comfortable when in contact with the skin, yet provides exceptional ballistic protection. DyneemaKnitTM is also hydrophilic and anti-bacterial.

Innovative DyneemaKnitTM fabric - Provides 360 ballistic protection to the pelvis and thigh regions.

T1 Indicator Label - Allows for commanders to perform prepatrol checks to ensure compliance.

LIGHTWEIGHT COMBAT JACKET

Very light, breathable and air-permeable flame retardant combat jacketfor use in the desert or in warm areas. Made of very strong fabrics to compensate for its low weight.

Zip fastening with puller made of main fabric and covered with velcro placket.

Each front has a slanted patch pocket which is closed by means of a zip with pull tab.

On both sides of the waist, coinciding with the end of the gusset at the back and on the inside of the gilet, there are elasticated waistbands which allow the gusset to be gathered to fit the wearer’s body.

The sleeve cuff is finished with a hem and have a Velcro fastening strip of the main fabric.

A reinforcement patch is mounted at the elbow. Both sleeves have pockets with zippers and pull tab fastening. Superimposed on these pockets are pen holders covered by a flap with Velcro fastening.
