Valentine’s Day Goody Grams
The beloved children's game is brought to life in this sweet and whimsical event. Participants will walk the path and encounter familiar characters, play interactive games, and find delicious treats. One adult per child. Masks are required. Dress warm for this outdoor event. (ER)
Spread some love this Valentine's Day with a Goody Gram! All ages will love receiving this Goody Bag of sweets, treats and surprises delivered to their door. Register a child or an adult in your household or another Itasca Park District or Village Resident. Nonresidents can schedule a pick-up time. You may send multiple Goody Grams, just enter in the number of bags you would like to send when asked during registration. You will be contacted after registration for the names, addresses and messages to be included for the Goody Grams. (ER)

Magic with Gary Kantor Professional magician Gary Kantor now teaches his popular magic class ONLINE. This 45-minute online class teaches children how to perform a number of mind-boggling tricks using everyday household items. Balloon Animal Workshop Professional balloon artist Gary Kantor introduces a 45 minute online class that teaches children the techniques needed to take plain balloons and transform them into incredible balloon animals (like dogs, butterflies, fish, etc.). By watching these online videos children will create their own balloon animals, with Gary walking them through each step in the process. And this class isn't just for the kids; parents will have a blast if they join the experience. Additionally, you can sign up again since each session makes different animals. Comic Book Creators
Safe@Home is a 90-minute program for students in grades 4-6 to prepare them to be safe when they are home alone. The program teaches students how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe SitterÂŽ First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses. Class will be virtual if we cannot meet in person. (ER)
Find a new hobby in this new and exciting class! We will start by practicing creating a story for provided pictures, then illustrating pictures for a provided story. Then participants will take what they learned and create their own comic book. All supplies will be provided, as well as examples. This class will be virtual if we cannot meet in person.

Children’s Dance
Dance Skills Workshops
This class is designed to help your child recognize their own individuality and body mobility while helping them develop coordination. The time will be split equally between ballet and tap dance. Students need tap shoes, ballet shoes, a leotard, and tights.
These skills workshops are dedicated to learning and perfecting the topic of the workshop. Dancers will work on growing their technique and will learn tips and tricks on how to master these skills. Reserved for Dance Team Members. 10 dancer max per class. (ER) AGE: 6-18yrs DAY
Tap/Ballet Classes Half of this class will be devoted to ballet and barre work, while the other half will focus on tap. Dancers will develop basic ballet and tap technique. Combinations in both ballet and tap will be introduced so that dancers can experience putting steps together.
Tap/Jazz Classes Dancers will focus on jazz techniques like the isolation of certain body parts and tap techniques such as finding rhythms and beats in the music and their bodies. Students will need jazz shoes, tap shoes and comfortable dance attire.
Hip Hop This class introduces students to the basic vocabulary and style of hip hop movement. It’s all about a dancer’s personal style and expression. This is a high energy class designed for anyone with a passion to move. Students will need comfortable clothing and either jazz shoes or danceable gym shoes.
Lyrical Many different styles combined produce a new modern version of Ballet and Jazz. Dancers will focus on floor work, patterns of movement and self-expression as well as elements of improvisation. Students will need a leotard and footless tights.
Ballet Technique Students work on ballet vocabulary, placement, structure, and all around Ballet technique. Dancers will need ballet shoes, a leotard, and tights.
Dance Team Workshop This class is specifically designed for Dance Team members on the intermediate and advanced level teams to work on their solos, duets, and trios.
Private Lessons and Semi Private Lessons Available with Ms. Darla! Private lessons or Semi Private Lessons are available with Ms. Darla. For more information or to schedule a lesson, please come fill out a request form at the Itasca Rec Center. Lessons are $40 for a 1-hour lesson.

Coaches The Itasca Park District Soccer League is extremely popular and has a large number of participants and teams. Without our fantastic volunteer coaches we would be unable to offer such a wonderful program. The park district is currently looking for parents or adults to volunteer as a coach or an assistant coach. Please indicate on your child’s registration form if you are interested in coaching.
Co-ed Soccer League Fall soccer will be playing with a new format in accordance with the US Youth Soccer organization. Smaller fields and teams will allow for players to achieve the following: to touch the soccer ball more often which will enhance their individual technique and tactical development, receive more individual teaching time with their coach, receive more involved playing time in games, and most importantly to have more opportunities to score to enhance excitement. Inter-Village Soccer League Registration will be accepted on first-come, first-serve basis on dates listed below. Participants will be informed of team placement by their coach on or before Wednesday, March 24. *Participants must register in the age division designated by their grade.
Practices and Games Itasca Inter-Village Soccer plays in the Mid Suburban Soccer League other districts included are Addison, Bensenville, Bloomingdale, Glendale Heights, Medinah, Roselle, Villa Park and Wood Dale. Practices are once or twice per week. Games will be played on Saturdays April 7-June 12. No games will be played on Memorial Day Weekend. Time and location of games will determined by league schedules which will be determined no later than Friday, April 9.
Uniforms All players must wear an Itasca Park District uniform. Uniforms must be purchased at the time of Registration. A sample of all sizes will be available at the registration desk. U6 Micro Soccer Micro Soccer is a scaled-down version of the game of soccer specifically designed for young children. Children will play 3 vs. 3 on a smaller soccer field. Coaches are allowed on the field and no score is kept. This program is geared toward children who have mastered Pee Wee Soccer, yet are not old enough to join the Itasca Inter-Village Soccer League. Hitting/Pitching/Catching Clinic Prepare for the upcoming baseball and softball seasons. Swing analysis, live pitching and other techniques are a part of this program. Pitchers work on the form needed to increase the speed of the fastball and protect their throwing arm. Boys learn the rocker step for pitching as well as various age appropriate grips.
