Club Friday Night

Itasca 3rd-5th graders, are you ready for a night full of fun? Our DJ will rock your socks off with the latest hits. Enjoy time with friends as you hang out and compete in exciting contests. Each dance will be filled with energy and music! Concessions will be sold. A signed parent permission slip is required. Come out and bring your friends!

Come an hour early for pizza! $15 for all three hours or $8 for the dance only. (ER)

‘Tween Twilight Dance

blast dancing the night away with our rockin’ DJ. Concessions will be sold so bring some cash. All kids attending the dance must bring a signed parent permission slip which can be found online or at the Rec Center. If it rains, the dance will be relocated to the Rec Center. (ER)

Safe Sitter

Safe Sitter® prepares students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who’s choking, and helpful information like what to do if there’s severe weather. The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use CPR manikins to practice CPR and choking rescue! Students should bring a lunch, water bottle, and a baby doll or stuffed animal. (ER)

Safe @ Home

Safe@Home is a 90-minute program for students in grades 4-6 to prepare them to be safe when they are home alone. The program teaches students how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter® First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses. (ER)

Volunteer Opportunities

The Itasca Park District offers teens in Grade 6th-8th the opportunity to volunteer throughout the school year. By volunteering at the park district, teens can fulfill required community service hours. Volunteers must register for volunteer opportunities and complete and return the volunteer packet at least 72 hours before volunteering. (ER)
