Dissecting Owl Pellets

Learn about the eating habits of the owls living at Springbrook Nature Center. Do you know what an owl pellet is? Owls usually swallow their prey whole, and they regurgitate what they cannot digest. See the various owls we have, the kind of food they eat, and dissect a pellet to see if we can figure out from the bones what the prey was. Anyone 8 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult. Full Moon Family Hike

Come explore Springbrook after dark! Join us for a guided hike with flashlights to see all the nighttime animals we can find. Then join us for s’mores and hot cocoa next to the fire pit. Price is per person. (CC)

Owl-O-Ween

Join us for Owl-o-ween at Springbrook Nature Center! Visit us from 1-3pm to see our resident owls and volunteers. We'll have coloring pages to take home, and bird and weather willing, an owl will be flying at 1:30pm and 2:30pm. It will be a hoot! (CC)
