Company History
Siam Sanitary Fittings Co.,Ltd. (SSF) was established by the Siam Cement Public Company Limited (SCG) in 1987, which manufactures & distributes a complete line of faucets and bathroom accessories produced using the most of the highest quality under the brand name “COTTO�, produced using the most advance technology and expert engineering to provide assurance that each piece consistently meets the international quality standards.
Casting Process
The brass is melted in an electric furnace, then cast into shape, using Low Pressure Die Casting (LPDC), the latest is now in use. The melted mixture constantly monitored with Spectometer in order to avoid any shrinkage. Today, we control the consistency of quality of the brass with computer and use Gravity Die Casting (GDC) technology for casting small parts.
Machining Process
The cast part is then machined to a fine, even surface using Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC), Machine Center and Auto Transfer Machine. The cast part is machined to be the precise specifications of the original design and has smooth surfaces both inside and outside. This results in the functions of faucet which will be more reliable and long lasting.
Polishing Process
After machining, the product goes through two polishing steps: first by sandpaper then by cloth until having a bright sheen. Great skill is required in polishing to make the brass surface shiny. Polishing is an important step in preparing the quality of the parts surface before plating.
Plating Process
Before plating, the polish part must be carefully cleaned with chemical solution. Then, the surface is first covered with 8 microns of nickel to create a thick and smooth surface after that 1 0.5 micron layer of chromium is applied to create a shine surface. In plating a gold faucet, the base layer of nickel is covered with 24K. Gold. The technology used in plating with nickel chromium is unique to COTTO plated surface that is more durable and shinier than others.
Assembly Process
The finished part is then assembled and fitted with inner mechanism and other parts until being a complete products. The quality control of plating surface and product testing by 100% testing ensures that products meet our high standards before being packed for delivery.

Types of Flushing Systems
Flushing Systems 1. Wash- Down
New water from the tank forces old water out of the bowl directly through the drainpipe, then refills the bowl to the normal level.
2. Siphonic Wash-Down
This operates nearly the same as the wash-down but has holes around the inside rim of the bowl that create a siphon, thereby, increasing the force of the water flow to expel waste more quickly and cleanse the bowl more effectively.
Flushing system 3. Siphon-Jet
With the system, the new water flows into the bowl via a jet hole in front of the trap way, creating a siphon with greater force that expels the waste more quickly.
4. Siphon Vortex
This system creates a vortex, or whirlpool, in the water in the bowl, gently sucking out the waste. The water in the tank does not have to be much higher than the bowl, thus permitting quite flushes.
