From the dean
As we conclude one of the most challenging years in the history of higher education, I am extraordinarily proud of the energy, resilience, creativity and student focus I have seen over the past twelve months. From remarkable student success in competitions, to the work of accounting professors and students preparing taxes for people in need throughout our community, to record fundraising levels that will benefit the Idaho State College of Business forever, our students, faculty and alumni are working every day to help shape a brighter future for all of us.
I have heard many refer to our time since the pandemic began as “The Lost Year”. My initial thought as a professor, husband and father is to express my best wishes that each of you, your families and all of your loved ones are safe and healthy. My second thought is to assure you that our professors, staff and campus leaders have worked tirelessly to create a safe,

engaging and exceptional educational environment. We made a commitment for this to not be a lost year for our students and used every tool possible to provide excellent courses, professional development opportunities, virtual club meetings, engagement with industry mentors, career fair access and the ability for our College of Business students to move closer to achieving their educational dreams. I am forever grateful to everyone who helped make this possible and contributed to a successful year for our students.
I had the privilege of watching the Class of 2021 walk across the stage and graduate this spring. It was a hopeful and inspirational night, and I am more confident than ever that our students, faculty and alumni are exactly the type of leaders we need in this moment and beyond as we adapt, problem-solve and move forward. We will be returning to normal operations on campus this fall and I know with all of my heart that our best days are still ahead of us. Thank you all for your support of the College of Business and I look forward to visiting very soon. Congratulations again to the Class of 2021 and go Bengals!
