BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES Thomas A. Connop called the 87th Annual Meeting of the Iowa State University Alumni Association to order Friday, May 15, 2020 at 4:50 p.m.

RESOLVED: The minutes of the May 17, 2019 meeting were approved as written.

RESOLVED: Changes to the ISUAA Articles of Incorporation were approved as written.

Chair-Elect Kathy A. (Sullivan) Peterson reported on behalf of the Tellers Committee that the five new members elected to the Iowa State University Alumni Association Board of Directors for four-year terms are: Scott Bauer (L), ’85 Business Management, Ames, Iowa Marvin DeJear (L), ’00 business management, MBA ’03, PhD ’16 educational leadership, Des Moines, Iowa Anthony Jones (A), ’98 exercise and sport science, PhD ’10 educational leadership, Ames, Iowa Darius Potts (A), ’89 telecommunicative arts, Ankeny, Iowa Dawn Refsell (L), ’01 agronomy, ’03 MS crop production and physiology, Runnells, Iowa RESOLVED: That the 2020 board election is official and the ballots are to be destroyed.

Connop recognized the FY20 Executive Committee members: Kathy A. (Sullivan) Peterson, chair-elect; Lawrence C. Cunningham, immediate past chair; Timothy R. Quick, vice chair of finance; Marc S. Mores, vice chair of records; Joan K. Piscitello, treasurer; and Jeffery W. Johnson, Talbot Endowed president and CEO of the ISU Alumni Association. He thanked them for their year of service.

Connop also recognized outgoing board members: Daniel A. Buhr, Lawrence C. Cunningham, Phyllis M. Fevold, Duane M. Fisher, and Andrew Larson. He thanked them for their many years of service to the Alumni Association.

Connop presented the officers for FY21; Kathy A. (Sullivan) Peterson, chair; Timothy R. Quick, chair-elect; Marc S. Mores, vice chair of finance; Dana (Willig) Wilkinson, vice chair of records; Joan K. Piscitello, treasurer; Jeffery W. Johnson, Talbot Endowed president and CEO of the ISU Alumni Association; and himself as immediate past chair.

Connop then introduced Kathy A. (Sullivan) Peterson, the FY21 chair of the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Peterson thanked Connop for his leadership during the past year and adjourned the meeting at 5:15 p.m.
