NEWSLETTER NUMBER 1 Dear friends, we are glad to present the first newsletter of the XXI Trainer Project funded by the Swedish National Agency through the Erasmus + Programe of the European Union.
KEY PROJECT INFORMATION The Erasmus+ project entitled XXI Trainer with partner organisations from Bel‐ gium, Greece, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Sweden aims to increase the modernization and quality in VET on EU level with special focus on VET teach‐ ers' and trainers' competencies development by exchanging and exploiting innovative practices developed in partner countries. The project idea is based on the fact that the quality of the trainers’ and teach‐ ers’ innovative practices and methodologies will strongly impact on VET sys‐ tems’ overall quality and attractiveness. The XXI Trainer Project addresses the urgent need to implement reforms on trainers’ and teachers’ qualification pro‐ cesses in the realm of lifelong learning in order to develop skills and compe‐ tencies related to new job opportunities, new market needs as well as new target groups, increasing innovation within the enterprises.
