Isle of Man TT legend John McGuinness set a stunning new outright lap record of 131.671mph in the Dainese Superbike Race at TT2013 to establish a new benchmark for the famous 37.73-mile Mountain Course. To celebrate this historic event we have produced a print from the portfolio of world-renowned TT Motorsport of photographer Stephen Davison embellished with a stamp from our ‘Honda - 50 years at the Isle of Man TT’ issue of 2009 and a TT Grandstand postmark for the 2nd June 2013. Commentary on the reverse of the print is provided by motorsport journalist Kyle White. The Honda TT Legends rider shattered his old outright lap record of 131.578mph (which he set in the Senior Race at TT2009) on his way to third place on his sixth and final lap. McGuinness, who was carrying the number three plate, rode in the red and black livery of Joey Dunlop’s 2000 Formula One-winning machine as part of a special Honda tribute to mark the 30th anniversary of the 26time TT winner’s maiden success for Honda.
