Island Dog Magazine is Hawaii’s premier dog culture publication, celebrating the dog/human bond and promoting responsible dog ownership. With the Summer issue we are in a new normal with the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. We greet Summer with gratitude and hope as Hawaii cautiously reopens. And we stand with our faithful dogs who have given us constancy and love throughout it all. We are proud to feature Zeus and Apollo from the hit TV show Magnum P.I. as our handsome cover canines. This year Hawaii Pet Expo went virtual and kept us connected to our local pet industry. Windward Community College expands its Vet Tech program and goes statewide. And the Hawaiian Humane Society updates us on some very important changes taking effect July 1, including mandatory micro-chipping.
