These 3 pieces were my initial research pieces for my Higher Art Expressive Portfolio. Each are in a different medium: acrylic paint (left), coloured pencil on white paper (middle), white and some colour pencil on a dark background (right). Each piece is a still life either from photo or perspective and helped me experiment with a couple of different mediums to start off.

This is a second development piece I created that contributed to my Higher Art Expressive Portfolio. I used block paints for this one and it helped me realise that it is not my strong suit so I would not be using it for my final piece.

This is a development piece I created that contributed to my Higher Art Expressive Portfolio. It is a still life piece that consists of two different boxes featuring different mediums, one with acrylic paint (left) and the other in coloured pencil (right). It helped me decide to use acrylic paint for my final piece.

This was my Higher Art Expressive final piece. A still life piece created using acrylic paint after experimenting with different mediums throughout the year. This helped me gain more skills within a variety of different mediums and then be able to recognise what one I liked best in order to use it for my final piece.

This was the 1st page of my Higher Art Design Portfolio. This involved researching different styles, shapes, patterns, reference photos and colour schemes for my lamp design. This helped me further my skills in research and exploring different ideas.

August 2021-March 2022
This was the 2nd page of my Higher Art Design Portfolio. It consists of further development of the different design options for my lamp and experiments with modelling, sketching, marbling, ink and some use of online sites such as Photoshop to edit my drawings into the template. This helped me with skills in different software and mediums.
This was a card model I created for my Higher Art Design Portfolio. I created it using a laser cutter for the more delicate shapes and printed a pattern I had created using a marbling technique onto tracing paper for the inside. It helped me gain an understanding of how my lamp would look and helped me experiment with different techniques.

April 2022
This was my final page for my Higher Art Design Portfolio. On this page I have my chosen final design and explore different patterns that I had created throughout the folio that could be an option for the final design. At the bottom of the page we have my final design which is a flattened version of the models you can see beside it. Through this folio I used many different techniques that I wouldn’t usually use and expanded my knowledge and abilities on different software and mediums.

This was my 1st development page for my Higher Design & Manufacture folio. On this page I used pencil walking to make developments to the main shape of my baby changing room design.

January-April 2022
This was my 4th development page for my Higher Design & Manufacture folio. On this page I was finalizing the colour scheme and expanding on the design of the entrance to the baby changing room.
This was my 2nd development page for my Higher Design & Manufacture folio. On this page I was exploring different material ideas for the flooring of my baby changing room design using my knowledge of materials I already had and also researching for any other ideas.
April 2022
This was my final design for my Higher Design and Manufacture project of a baby changing room. For this I used my knowledge of materials and processes to conclude how and what my product would be made of.

This is an example of a sketch of a floor plan for my Advanced Higher Design and Manufacture project that I did in my sketchbook. This was to help with my research for understanding of the surrounding area for my project.

2022/2023
These are examples of some small sketches in my sketchbook that I have done from perspective of random objects in my surroundings.

This is a 3D CAD model I have done this year of a lamp. After modelling the lamp on CAD I put it into 3D Studio Max where I was able to render it and put it into a scene. This is helping me build my skills on CAD and other similar software which can help with many different things including modelling.

November 2022
This is an example of a design of a little office area that I created in Homestyler. Using this website allows me to create different designs for rooms and houses and I enjoy using it in my spare time.
November 2020

This was my National 5 Art Expressive final piece. It’s a still life piece that I created using coloured pencil after experimenting with a variety of different mediums throughout the folio. I decided on using coloured pencil as I believe it is one of my strongest mediums although I did and do enjoy using different mediums that I wouldn’t usually use that are a bit outside my comfort zone.
