This project focuses on redesigning the secondary entrance of Marylebone station to enhance its functionality and visual appeal while addressing the needs of its diverse users. The proposed design
introduces features to create a more meaningful connection between the station and the community. Key elements include a commuter library, allowing travellers to borrow books during their journey, and a "library of things," offering the local community access to infrequently used items. This responds to the spatial constraints of Marylebone's compact homes and fosters a sense of shared resources. This project aims to transform the secondary entrance into a vital and engaging space by prioritising user needs and integrating community-centred functions. The folded chairs can be stored behind this column, where they won't be visible as we enter the library, and they will not waste any other usable space. At the same time, it can be comfortably carried to the folding desk.
