Overview School Schedule Student Experience
Alexandria Area High School’s (AAHS) Bridgeway Career Learning Program provides oppor tunities for students to earn credits toward graduation in an alternative learning environment. Program goals are designed to:
• Help students develop their career sk ills and competencies to successfully transition to life after high school.
• Provide authentic oppor tunities and experiences for all students to build confidence and develop sk ills relevant to their chosen career path.

Enroll at Bridgeway
Applications for the 2025-2026 School Year are now being accepted. Students must be entering grades 9-12 to enroll.
Students who attend Bridgeway Career Learning Program are referred by their school counselor and must meet eligibility requirements.
• 4 day AB block schedule with a flexible Friday schedule.
• Same bell schedule as AAHS
• Small classes and a personalized schedule provide flexibility while allowing students to earn high school credit at their own pace.
• Low student-to-teacher ratio (typically 15:1 or less) ensures individualized attention and suppor t.
• Core courses in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies are delivered off-campus at The Hub in a suppor tive, alternative setting.
• Elec tive credit options include hands-on courses in high school labs such as welding, technology, and woods available exclusively to Bridgeway students.
• Students can also access other AAHS elec tive offerings, either in person with provided transpor tation or vir tually from The Hub.
• Transpor tation to AAHS labs and elec tives is arranged by the program, ensuring access without logistical barriers.
• Ongoing suppor t from school counselors, social workers, and program staff helps students manage both academic and personal challenges.
• Competenc y-based learning allows students to demonstrate understanding in multiple ways, not just through tests or traditional assignments.
• Bridgeway students remain fully eligible to par ticipate in all AAHS ex tracurricular ac tivities, including spor ts, clubs, and events..
