Overview School Schedule Student Experience

Alexandria Area High School’s (AAHS) Bridgeway Career Learning Program provides opportunities for students to earn credits toward graduation in an alternative learning environment. Program goals are designed to:

• Help students develop their career skills and competencies to successfully transition to life after high school.

• Provide authentic opportunities and experiences for all students to build confidence and develop skills relevant to their chosen career path.

Alexandria Area High School’s Bridgeway Career Learning Program staff desire to make a difference in the lives of students and the roles students will play as adults in their community.

Enroll at Bridgeway

Applications for the 2024-2025 School Year are now being accepted Students must be entering grades 9-12 to enroll.

Students who attend Bridgeway Career Learning Program are referred by their school counselor and must meet eligibility requirements.

• 4 day AB block schedule with a flexible Friday schedule.

• Same bell schedule as AAHS

• Small classes, flexible schedule, and the opportunity to earn credits toward graduation

• Low student-to-teacher ratio (15:1 or less).

• Core classes (English, Math, Social Studies, Science) are located off-campus at The Hub.

• Students have elective options and choices on how to take those classes:

- Small classes just for Bridgeway students utilizing labs at the high school such as technology, welding, woods.

- Students may take some AAHS elective classes remotely while staying at The Hub.

- Transportation to AAHS labs and chosen electives will be provided.

• Students have support from school counselors and social workers.

• Students have options to demonstrate learning.

• Students are eligible to participate in all AAHS activities.

• Students are eligible to apply for all AAHS scholarships.

• Students will engage in monthly Bridgeway community connections.
