Buses between Landeck and Bielerhöhe

Go car-free and avail of the free bus transfer between Landeck and Bielerhöhe - Silvretta reservoir (toll) . Buses run half-hourly within the valley . Head quickly and in comfort to the loveliest places in Paznaun (Kops reservoir, Silvretta reservoir,…), which are excellently suitable starting points for adventure-filled hikes .

Galtür Silvretta High Alpine Road

It is not without reason that it is called the ‘dream road in the Alps for aficionados’ . It is one of the most popular and loveliest mountain roads in the Alps . The superb mountain setting of the Silvretta range, along with the Vermunt and Silvretta lakes, which are located right next to the road, beguile visitors in cars and in other forms of transport . From Galtür at around 1,600m you head up to the Bielerhöhe at 2,032m which has views to the Piz Buin . The Silvretta High Alpine road is subject to toll but can be used for free with the Silvretta Card premium package! Galtür Alpinarium

Das Alpinarium Galtür ist ein Ausstellungshaus der besonderen „ART“ und ein zentraler Bestandteil der 345 Meter langen und 19 Meter hohen Lawinenschutzmauer . In der Ausstellung „GANZ OBEN – Geschichten über Galtür und die Welt“ lauschen die Besucher mit allen Sinnen Beziehungsgeschichten . Über Menschen, die von hier aus hinaus in die Welt zogen . Über jene, die von weit draußen das Dorf im Tal entdeckten . So erfahren die Besucher etwa, wie ein Galtürer als Pilger bis nach Jerusalem kam und ein Galtürer Bergführer Anfang des 20 . Jahrhunderts an zwei Kaukasusexpeditionen teilnahm . Sie hören die Stimme des Gletschers und erkunden, ob einer ihrer Vorfahren zu den Schwabenkindern gehörte . Auch die Erinnerung an das Lawinenereignis vom 23 . Februar 1999 wird im Alpinarium bewusst lebendig gehalten . Galtür Alpinarium

The Alpinarium Galtür is a very special kind of exhibition centre and a core component of the 345m long and 19m high avalanche protection wall . As part of the ‘WAY UP HIGH – Stories about Galtür and the World’ exhibition, visitors can listen to relationship stories with all their senses . About people who have come from here out into the world . About those who have come from afar to discover the village in the valley . Visitors learn how a man from Galtür went to Jerusalem as a pilgrim and how a Galtür mountain guide took part in two Caucasus expeditions at the start of the 20th century . They listen to the voice of the glacier and find out whether one of its ancestors was among the Swabian peasant children . The memory of the avalanche on 23 February 1999 is also deliberately kept alive at the Alpinarium . Special exhibition ‘The Galtür Gentian’ .
