Summer 2020 Education Madison, WI
UW-Madison’s Memorial Library is looking to redesign the first floor into a more welcoming and user-friendly space. This redesign will encourage a wider variety of users while keeping in mind security; and change the outdated atmosphere of Memorial Library to one that is fresh and new. The historical value of the building will be kept in mind during the redesign, as its importance to the culture of UW-Madison must be maintained. Memorial library needs to be a beacon of education and collaboration between the students, staff, and visitors of the UW-Madison campus. The new library will become that beacon through technological support and a charm that encourages socialization (at a distance) that is uniquely Memorial Library’s.

Education Madison, WI

The Student Design Challenge will leverage teams from across the Big Ten to propose an informal space redesign on their campus. Students are the main focus of this initiative, and participating teams will gain valuable experience by going through the design process. Working with real-world parameters and industry professionals will sharpen skills in project management and communication, while giving students a high-visibility project for their portfolio. Participating schools will engage in an exciting opportunity to involve students in the building of their own environment along with having a hands-on learning experience at the headquarters of an industry leader.”
Divided participants into small groups and had them interview one another to gain feedback about the issues of the room.
Groups were then instructed to synthesizing their data and creating multiple How Might We statements that will define the rooms challenges.
From these How Might We statements groups were then instructed to ideate insights that would further categorize the problems.
To prototype teams drew pictures on dry-erase boards to various ideas that thought would be a good addition to the space.
Unfortunately, the groups were unable to test their prototypes in the room as this was only a workshop to gain feedback for the competition.
From the design thinking workshop, we were able to gather three key insights:
These insights were the foundation to our final design proposal, as they would each have their own area within the space.

Snisky Residence 2021-2022 Residential River Hills, WI
Our design concept for this project was to modernize the prairie style of the house while still preserving its unique features and architectural details. We aimed to create a fresh and contemporary look while staying true to the orginal sprit of the prairie style.
We developed a design plan that included a number of modern updates, such as new flooring, lighting fixtures, and furniture, as well as the addition of some custom art pieces. We refinished the hard wood floors, and addded more natural stone, to create a sense of harmony with the surrounding landscape.
Overall, our design successfully modernized the style of the house while maintining its unique character and charm. The Snisky family was thrilled with the final result, and we were proud to have created a modern and comfortable space that truly refects their personal style and taste.
In designing their modern master bathroom, we focused on creating a clean and maximalist aesthetic, while incorporating high-quality materials and finishes. The chevron wood flooring is a beatiful and practical choice, as it easy both durable and easy to clean. We also incorporated modern fixtures and finishes, such as a custom built vanity, illuminated mirror, and hand-blown glass vessel sinks, to create a seamless and contemporary look. The centerpiece of this bathroom is the Kohler shower. With its state-of-the-art anthem shower system, it provides an exceptional showering experience. Including features such as 4 rain shower heads, body sprays, and a handheld wand for convenience and flexibility. The incorporated steam feature and bluetooth connectivity create a truly personalized and indulgent shower experience.
Overall, the updated master bathroom is a beautiful and functional addition to the home, providing a luxurious and relaxing space for homeowners to unwind and rejuvenate.
Due to our clients being unsatisfied with`the original landscape designrs, they requested our assistance to help design the exterior. In response, we created a unique and exciting outdoor living space for them. We started by designing a pergola, which provided a shaded area for relaxation and entertainment. The structure is built with 40’ cedar posts, and adds a touch of warmth and ambiance to the space.
Next we added a fire pit to the design. This allowed the clients to enjoy cozy evenings outdoors, and also added a touch of warmth and ambiance to the space.
One of the key features of the design was the inclusion of a pool with a natural rock slide. This provided a fun and refreshing area for the clients and their guests to enjoy, and added a unique element to the outdoor living space. Overall, our clients were very happy with the new design, and we were able to successfully incorporate their desired feature into the outdoor space. The result was a beautiful and functional outdoor living area that the clients and was a testament to our ability as interior designers.

Rendering Request 2021-2022 Residential Phoenix, AZ
The design concept for this desert home was to incorporate as much as the natural landscape into the home as possible. By selecting low profile furniture, the view itself becomes a picture. Large mirrors were incorporated into the design as well, to allow the natural light to pierce through the room, making the space feel brighter and more open.
To finish the look, we included a few key accessories to add a modern touch. This includes a large, art piece on the wall, a geometric-patterned area rug in coordinating colors, and a sleek, modern coffee table with a glass mirrored top. Overall, the goal of the design is to create a space that feels bright, open, and modern, while incorporating the warmth and comfort of the surrounding landscape.
