01 Layout Design for
The DISH Spring Publication
As a way to combine my passion of cooking and design, I joined DISH publications. For the past year, I have provided illustrations and assisted in the layout of the magazine.
The illustration in the layout [right] provides the reader with the insight of what okonomiyaki is and demonstrates the use of color, design, and creativity to deliver that information.

02 Poster Design for UW Writing Center
The UW Writing Center is a place for students to come for assistance with writing assignments and various workshops. In order to make students feel more welcomed, I was given the opportunity to create two large murals that conveyed inclusitivity and discovery. Using ambiguous figures [below] and creating a landscape [above], I turned the writing center into a place of belonging and curiousity.

Mural designs for Herman Miller Big 10 Competition
Beginning in 2018, Herman Miller has hosted a Big 10 Design Competition, which asks students to use design thinking and research to redesign a room on campus. Spending months going through the design thinking process and holding workshops to gain user feedback, we designed a space that focused on rejuvination, community, and discovery. To convey these topics to the users, I designed these murals that portray our themes in an exciting and stylized manner.
01 Icons for The School of Human Ecology
As a way to reinvigorate the School of Human Ecology, I was assigned to create icons for the separte majors within the college. The design for each icon was chosen to represent the primary focus of each major.
02 Logo Design for
Herman Miller Big 10 Competition
In conjunction with the murals, the icons are an important way for my team to convey the goals of our redesign in the competition.
03 Rec Sports ‘SPORTS’ Logo
Commisioned by a Rec Sports volleyball team the goal of this logo was to play upon the sport being played and include humor through the generic term of sports. Through color and silhouettes, this logo is impactful and comedic.

Tharaka - Nithi Women’s Welfare Program
The Tharaka Women’s Welfare Program is a non-profit organization based out of Kenya; their main goal is to educate the women in the region and in doing so prevent the tradition of female genital mutilation. I was given the opportunity to travel to Kenya and learn first hand the challenges the women of Tharaka are faced with. By understanding these hardships, I was able to design a logo that portrayed TWWP’s values.
