YOUTH TO FOCUS ON WATER APPRECIATION THROUGH THE LENS Capturing the conversation around Isaac’s precious commodity is the catalyst for a photography competition focused on the region’s grassroots. The Isaac Regional Council 2019 Water Week Photography Competition is now open to young people aged between 5 and 18 to snap how they see water through their own creative vision. Mayor Anne Baker said this is great opportunity for Isaac’s youth to be part of the picture when it comes to water conversation and protection. “This is how we harness the pure power of water knowledge and appreciation – we need to have a look at our communities and how water affects all parts of our everyday life,” Mayor Baker said. “Young people are encouraged to use their camera or mobile phone to capture water in the natural environment sense, how it’s conserved and how it relates to our health.”
