Tap into vital Isaac water advice Residents will have the chance to shower Isaac Regional Council with questions about ways to save on water and the new charges.

The Save Water, Save Money InfoShare will tap into creating a conversation at conserving Isaac’s precious commodity next month. Isaac Regional Council’s team will hit the road to spread awareness about the region’s water supply and the importance of conserving this natural resource. Mayor Anne Baker said the water engagement sessions will travel the region during October. “The Save Water, Save Money InfoShare will give residents and ratepayers an opportunity to ask about the new water charges in effect,” Mayor Baker said. “Conserving and maintaining water quality is especially important in Australia, the world's driest inhabited continent. “Council is committed to providing all our customers with reliable, high quality water and wastewater services.” CEO Gary Stevenson PSM said the InfoShare will have an array of information to help ratepayers understand how important water conservation is. “We will provide details on how ratepayers and residents can save water to save money, where our water supply comes from, why and how Council is charging for water,” Mr Stevenson said.

Mayor Baker and Mr Stevenson will be joined by Councillors and staff during the regional initiative. Save Water, Save Money InfoShare will be at the following location in Clermont:

Clermont Markets - Rose Harris Park Saturday October 9 8am to 12pm

Residents are encouraged to drop in to the display and sign up to MiWater to win a $100 Eftpos Card to invest in water saving ideas at home. Entry is open to permanent residents within the Isaac local government area only. Water charges are in effect following a 12-month delay aligned with many other towns and cities across Queensland. The charges help fund ongoing water management, supply, maintenance and infrastructure upgrades. The water engagement sessions are also a chance for residents to understand and implement watersaving habits with great tips on Council’s website. Ratepayers can sign up to MiWater, a website that provides water consumption information at www.isaac.qld.gov.au/miwater. Visit www.isaac.qld.gov.au/water-charges for more information.

“We will also provide great advice on how ratepayers can monitor and manage and reduce their water use.” Isaac... helping to energise the world
