The Doomsday clock is a symbolic timepiece showing how close the world is to ending Midnight marks the theoretical point of apocalypse Armageddon threats could rise from political tensions, weapons, technology, climate change, or pandemic illness 3 minutes to midnight means that the clock remains uncharged that year It is managed by the bulletin of the Atomic Scientist The clock symbolizes how close humanity is to destroying itself, with midnight representing global apocalyptic disaster 90 seconds to midnight is the closest the clock has ever been set to midnight and it’s a decision our experts do not take lightly The US government, its NATO Allies and Ukraine are looking to turn back the clock If the clock ever reaches midnight it would mean that there has been some sort of nuclear exchange or a catastrophic climate change that wiped out humanity Before the COVID-19 the clock was set at 2 minutes to midnight, during the COVID-19 the clock was at 100 seconds, and after ( right now) the clock was at 90 seconds to midnight 90 seconds to midnight is a representation of years For example, right now it is at 7 billion years Each time the end of the world is coming faster But it won’t if we take Action

Some of the many possible contributors of ending the world include, climate change, global nuclear death or ecological collapse Humans impact the physical environment in many ways: overpopulation, pollution, burning fossil fuels and deforestation Changes like this had triggered climate change, soil erosion, poor quality of air and undrinkable water Whether it is the effect of climate change or deforestation, Our planet is facing some of the biggest challenges our generation has ever known Global warming is likely to be the biggest cause of species extinction this century Scientists agree that the planet is warming up faster than ever because of the vast amount of greenhouse gasses that humans are pumping into the atmosphere This includes activities such as the ones mentioned before There are a lot of problems that earth is facing but some of the most probable of ending the world are:

1 Nuclear war, due to the facility of access to weapons that humans are creating

2 Catastrophic climate change, the United Nations reported that we only have 12 years to keep up global warming at moderate’s levels In fact there are a lot of issues known but the unknown risks can be the biggest threats because we won’t have enough time to take action before the unknown risks get to appear

This is something big it was created by the great Albert Einstein and the bulletin of the atomic scientist which are:

-J Robert Oppenheimer ( The creator of the atomic bomb )

- Leo Szilard

- Hons Bethe

- Ernest o Lawrence

- Klaus Fuchs

- Glenn Seaborg

The clock was founded in 1945 by Albert Einstein, but it started running in 1947 until now In 1991 the clock was set at 17 minutes to midnight which was the time that the clock was the furthest from the end of the world which is the goal When the Doomsday clock was created in 1947 the greatest danger to humanity was the nuclear weapons because the United States and the Soviet Union were headed to the Cold War But the thing is that if nobody cares about the clock , well the clock will be nothing

Humans have survived 4 crises they are: 1. The Toba Eruption which was about 74.000 years ago when Mount Toba, a supervolcano in modern days Indonesia erupted, sending tons of dust into the air and blanketing a lot of parts of Asia. People believe that it is the biggest eruption in human history, which has spread around the world. 2. The Ice age is known to plunge the planet into a prolonged cold, so severe that it threatens species survival This was about 20,000 to 10,000 years ago 3 The Bubonic Plague, caused by the yersinia pestis bacteria It initially appeared in A D of the year of 541 and came close to wiping out the whole of mankind 4 Other old world diseases There are probabilities that the world will end as naturally as it would by human actions But humans generated the climate change which is a real issue so it is more probable that human action will end the world than for it to happen naturally Global warming can make plants or some food grow slower because of the continued release of excess greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere ,letting the sun rays enter the Earth more directly which is not good for food production But the Earth in a natural way is less probable of ending the world because it would be if a big star collapses and destroys Earth which isn't so probable So humans have created a lot of stuff which right now is a big problem to humanity and Earth

Each time the clock is decreasing more. The Idea is for the clock to go back to 17 minutes to midnight, but to do that we need to take quick action or else the end of the world will come each time faster.

We are all humanity, and the world depends on each of us. So we need to start thinking about how we can help Earth and what we should stop doing. Because at the end we all want the same. To save Earth. But that won’t be possible if we don’t try to help ,because one tiny action can change the whole world
