01
THE SAMARANG HUB
The studio project required us to design a youth hub to understand the “soul” of a community by doing a “psychogeography mapping”
exercise of a distinct neighborhood and research on its past and history.
I wanted to combine both of my research by creating a space to help the local film industry and to keep the spirit of the skating community.
Thus, I took the skating elements, shapes and forms to create different film spaces for the community hub.
STUDY ON SKATE PARK SPACES

With the study on skate park spaces, I was inspired to create different shapes
SPACES

shapes to create different spaces for my film hub.

02
GENIUS OF NATURE
School of Edible Greens
“bent building bodies to get every sun possible”
The form of the school was inspired by the form and arrangement of a crocodile. I wanted the school to give the impression of flexibility while still having a strong structure.
With the open design of my school it creates a space that does not feel like a building but instead a space that allows users to feel that they are still in nature.
STUDY ON CROCODILE SKIN

ORDER
The bones on the crocodile skin overlaps therefore providing a strong armor and is well protected. The bones are arranged in rows align to the spine.

SYSTEM
Crocodiles are cold blooded. the blood vessels goes through the bones of the crocodile skin. which results the blood vessels to be closer to the surface thus allowing the crocodile to stay warm as it is easier to absorb.

Experimented on different forms the building could take by following the crocodile forms.
